Cuddles, I agree with everything Newbkr said. I'd slipped and started again so many times that my quit meter was dizzy! The important thing is that you don't give up on yourself. Right now, I'm sure you feel terrible for losing your quit and it's so hard to come back after something like that, especially when you were as far along as you were, but just remember why you quit in the first place! You quit because you want a better life. You quit so you could be a better role model for your children. You quit so you wouldn't have to waste your money on a stupid addiction. Those reasons still apply. It doesn't matter how many times you quit... all that matters is the last one... the one that sticks. Please Cuddles, if you have to take a break, then do that. But like newbkr said, come and read, even if you don't post. And get ready to quit again. You WILL succeed Cuddles! I just know that. Please don't feel like a failure because you're NOT! There are so many of us who have slipped or relapsed and managed to come back to make this our final quits... you can too! Please don't get too down. And if you ever need someone to talk to, you know how to get ahold of me. Crave the Quit! Cuddles- Sounds like the problem is that you keep slipping or relapsing? Me too. I have started so many quits I got to the point that I wanted to give up on giving them up. Got so sick of not sticking with it and feeling like a failure that I didn't even want to try. So..you're not alone if that's what you're experiencing. Please don't give up the war just because one battle went badly. Step back, regroup, revise the plan, and hopefully jump back in. One piece of advice I would recommend -- even if right now is not the right time to quit, don't stop coming to this site and reading. I have been smoking but have been here reading, reading, reading, and it helps get your head in the right place and helps you know how to revise your coping strategies so that they work better.
