Hello everyone... I quit cold turkey to see what it feels like and I haven't had a puff for a week! Never thought I could do it. Smoked 40 cigs a day and last month made an appointment to see an acupuncturist to help me quit. I could only get an appointment for june21. so this was my own trial...and yes a trial it was...is! I have to go on a week creative think tank tomorrow and it's this kind of thing that triggers my smoking! Any suggestions on how to cope???

Print this picture out: When you feel like smoking ... take a look a this picture. Do you really want to smoke? The answer to that would be no. Your addiction is really the only true thing that wants you to smoke. Don't give into it. Your addiction is using you up, tossing you aside, and looking for it's next victim. Hi Bazz, It would have been so tempting to wait until June 21st. Just proves that you are ready for the quit! There are so many people here who never believed that they could even get through their first day. Read their experiences, those on a month's quit, 100 days, 6 months, a year and more. It has helped me so much in my quit! Mr Ed :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 113 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,400 Amount Saved: 847.5 Life Gained: Days: 18 Hrs: 21 Mins: 29 Seconds: 5

Bazz, Congratuations on 40 days!!!! Fantastic! Hey, your name rhymes with my sweet dog's name...Jazz! We quitters all just need to realize just how important our quits are and how we should watch over them like hawks. Darn, I wish I had stayed with my quit from 30 years ago!
