RKM - You're doing great, this may be a difficult time, but you're handling it. Have your coping mechanisms close and your computer even closer. If you need help post right away and breathe deeply - someone will help. I think you will be just fine - keep moving and thinking about all the positives that got you here with us quitters. It's the hard part that makes the rewarding part.. well, just that. CobenFan

Hi RKM - So glad to see your post. You can do this!!!! I know that you can!!! Just think of your children and what they mean to you...and all the extra years you will get to spend with them because you quit smoking. Stay close to the site the next couple of days, weeks, whatever it takes not to smoke! Have some straws ready to suck air through, Twizzles always worked for me,etc. Drink lots of water - for some reason this really helps the craving. And promise yourself that you will come here and yell for help...wait 5-10 minutes...before you break your quit. I guarantee that craving will go away - tell the junkie sitting on your shoulder to shut up and go away! Most people will think you're crazy but we won't - we know how it is. Thinking of you today - Island girl My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/21/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 78 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 785 Amount Saved: $156 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 4 Mins: 5 Seconds: 9

RKM, This is day 3 for you, and I hope it is going better for you, just hold on and use all the tools that you have. That first week is the worst. So just one step at a time, and with determination and a positive attitude you will be successful. Let us know how you are doing. Should you ever need help just post and someone will be here for you. We look forward to your next post.. Stay strong and hold on tight to your quit. RKM you are doing great Cuddles It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit...... RKM, Have your coping mechanisms ready and you will fair well. Just think it is not an option and remove yourself from the temptation and avoid situations that will tempt you. We are always here, so post often and let us guide you :) Keep Strong, Josie ______________________ The SSC Support Team.
