I am still here;) I had a tough weekend but the last 2 days have been pretty good. I can't believe I have mad it so far, I am so happy and proud of myself and of course of all of you on this site! I read this forum all the time and someone wrote; 'Today I felt like eating a whole house - Uuugh" and it made me laugh when I realized that this was exactly what I felt one of the days the last weekend:-) In the past I have let the nicodemon talk with me and convinced me that smoking is not that bad, that it helps me relax etc. That's the reason I have failed before, but this time I doesn't allow him to even enter my thoughts. As soon as I can feel he is trying to sneak in, I shut the door very hard! I live in California, as some of you might know; California is very anti-smoking. It means that it's forbidden to smoke in all restuarans, bars, even parks and beaches. My husband and all my friends is non-smokers, as almost everyone of my co-workers. This helps me a lot I think. The last year I have felt so bad being the only one to light up a cigarette. I'm so glad that I don't have to do that anymore! I did it!!!!! smoke free for over 2 weeks now. The past couple of days have gotten way easier! Last week was a tough one for me and whoever came in my path ....LOL The horrible mood swings, cravings and every other side effect from quitting have started to fade away (if it was listed as a side effect...I had it). This weekend I went to a friends house to watch a fight on pay-per-view (about 15 people there) and at one point I was the only one left sitting inside with the kids. I looked around and wondered where everyone had gone. They were all outside on the patio huddled up in the freezing cold smoking. I missed it for a short moment until they all came inside smelling bad and complaining of the cold (not a craving, just kinda missed being like everyone else). All I could think was "it's good to be free!" Sunday was my daughters birthday party (at a bowling alley) there was smoking all around and it did not trigger a crave one bit. This site has been a life saver. I do not post much, but do read other posts and visit for hours everyday. Thank you everyone for your stories and support!!!!! ~Katie My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/19/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 15 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 231 Amount Saved: $45 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 2 Mins: 19 Seconds: 41

Checking in!! Doing great and soooo proud of myself for not giving in to this habit. I just tell myself smoking will not make anything better. I even went to a movie with my daughter who smokes and her car smells terrible. She didn't smoke in the car and didn't want me to smell smoke when she did before the movie. I didn't even want one. Actually don't miss it much at all anymore. :p My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 18 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 551 Amount Saved: $49.5 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 3 Mins: 34 Seconds: 55

I am here. As miserable as I am I am here. I am grateful to read all the posts and I think that underneath it all I want myself to be much farther along than I am. AND I am where I I am day 17 and that has to be good because it is better than it was yesterday or the day before or 17 days ago. SOOOOOO I am here!   Phillip My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 17 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 352 Amount Saved: $127.5 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 20 Mins: 53 Seconds: 11
