Hello everyone,
I have been coming to this site for 21+ days. Lots of info here. I usually like to just read, I hardly ever post, but I want to now. I have been a smoker for 31 years! Never did I ever think that I would be able to quit. And the most amazing thing is that I quit cold turkey 21 days ago. I just got tired of being a slave to the cigarette. The first week was rough, but I would come here and this site helped me continue with my quit. Things are a lot better now, sure I get the urge, but it quickly passes. What I would really like to know from all of you quitters is aside from health reasons, why are you glad you quit. I will start by saying.
I love getting the color back to my face I have a pink, healthy glow now!
I love walking into my house and it smells clean and fresh!
I love walking by the smokers huddled in the cold. (I use to be there)
I can walk up a flight of stairs without getting short of breath.
My mouth feels clean and fresh even in the morning.
My little dog doesnt cough up a lung anymore. (I guess that was from my smoke)
The money I save from cigarettes is being used for a club membership I just purchased! (And I still have money left over)
I feel great about quitting and I am very proud of myself!
Never again will I put another nasty, smelly, poisoned, life sucking cigarette in this body again!
:)
