Aren't those smoking dreams weird with the patch? I had them the first couple of weeks than I went on to even weirder dreams. Last night I had twin baby girls named Chloe and Meg. It was so real I actually started looking for them when I woke up! Lynda

I am on day 2 1/2. I am using the nicotine patch. So .. I am in a restaraunt and I step out. I see people smoking and ask them for one. They give it to me and I light up and take 1 puff. I feel guilty, ashamed and like a failure .. so I put it out. I immediatly think about my quit meter, and how I am now going to have to figure out how to reset it ... AND THEN ...I realize ... I'm in bed. I must have been dreaming .. and I am so releived. This nicotine patches have been making me dream the most vivid dreams .. but I think it is pretty cool that I got to feel what it was like to give in without actually giving in ... what a crappy feeling. Hope all the Feb. quiters are still in the game. Good luck all.

Its probably not cool that I was dreaming about smoking .. but what I thought was cool was that I immediatly thought about this website and about how horrible I felt for doing it. I think that dream is going to help keep me smoke free.

Thanks all .. and Butterfly .. Thanks for that link .. I especially like the one about the study that says if you are having smoking dreams that this is definately your last quit... thats encouraging .. Chief, I dream about smoking almost every nite...And I feel guilty too..lol...I guess that's a good thing! It might be the patch, it might not be...Who knows...I didn't wear my patch to bed last night due to the crazy dreams, and I still had some weird ones and some smoking ones...Oh well... Im glad you are still here though, and doing alright...Keep up the good work!!! Hey there, I quit January 31, 2006. I'm working on day 10. I've had pretty rough times but I made it through because of this site. I keep it open at work and in between work I glance at it and sometimes add to it. Keep up the good work. I know I am. My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/31/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 9 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 149 Amount Saved: $72 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 23 Mins: 2 Seconds: 53

Dear H, I am so glad you shared your dream with us.I had the same dream and it scared me.I take my patch of at night so I will not have dreams. I am really doing very well this week the cravings are gone this week. I'm not thinking about smoking every day like last week.I know I will still have bad times but nothing will ever be as bad as the frist month.
