I think I am eligable to join this elite club - today is day one for me and I'm still hanging in there, started on the patch this morning - smoked up a storm last night getting rid of the last pack. My hardest part is not meeting up with my pals for a smoke break from work. Reading all the posts is helping keep up my spirits. Hi! I quit smoking 2/22 and I like to join your club. I am 51 years old and I live in California. I have been a smoker for 35 years, but I am determined to quit. I am doing okay so far, (my 8th day today) but I know I need all support as I can get. I have tried to quit a lot of times before, but I have never been able to passed the 3rd day, so if I can't make it this time, I'm afraid I never will. You are doing so good all of you!!

My name is Katie and I'm from Cincinnati, OH. I'm on day 9 now and feeling proud. Most of my friends and family say they are proud of me, but more seem to just be waiting for me to fail and light up. It seems most of them are disappointed to loose a 'smoking buddy'. I'm a single Mom and my reasons for quitting are to be a better role model for my daughter and to maybe find a date (cause nothing is more unattractive than smelling bad and having a cig hanging out of your mouth, and let's not even talk about the bad breath...yuk!) I'm happy to have found this site and know people are ready to support one another. Now, how do I get into this group? :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/19/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 9 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 143 Amount Saved: $27 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 16 Mins: 15 Seconds: 56
