You know, when you quit, and failed. You didnt fail. You learnt something. You learnt about danger points for you. You learnt what to avoid, you learnt stress trigger. Most importantly of all, you learnt that you can NEVER just have ONE PUFF... it doesnt exist, not in the world of a nicotine addict. Just keep going. You cant sit down for a rest with nictotine demon... it will take you back onto a journey you tried to get away from. KNowledge is power. You have knowledge from your previous quit attempts. Which makes it more likely for you to succeed this time. Never give up giving up. It takes a bigger person to get back on the horse once its fallen..... but at least you learnt what made you fall off the last time. You wont be doing that again huh?

Hi junebug and everyone else I have been trying 7-8 times in 26 years, however I do think it is still possible. With right support and determination.. Jubebug DO NOT GIVE IN>> WE are all here for your support. I too felt as a failure and a loser a few post in here and i realised this forum is the way to go-> talking to others who really know what we are going through! See as a learning curve--we learn to smoke-REALLY the really first cigarette you had --DO you remember that one?? DID you cough ?? or did you enjoy your very first one?? I doubt it--I coughed my lungs out- got nausea and a headspin!! But i kept learning the cool moves > I was 14 then.. NOW!! We have to unlearn that behaviour.. Have faith... Well if you are ready to quit ... you have to take that negative self talk and throw it out the door! WE WILL THROW THESE PARTS OF YOUR OPENING POST AWAY:

This is really hard.
New start tomorrow morning, don't know if I can do this.
Sometimes I think I can then other times I don't think so.
I feel like such a loser........
HERE IS YOUR OPENING POST REVISED: Hi everyone, Junebug here. I'm back for my third try. Quit twice and screwed up both times and started up again. Tired of wheezing and not being able to breathe.........any help would be appreciated!! NOW LET'S ADD THIS: I am going to succeed this time ... I just know it. I have learned from my past experiences and will use what I have learned for my benefit in this Quit. Now ... here is a little something that may help you:
Overcoming the Fear of Failure Fear of failure is one of the greatest fears people have. Fear of failure is closely related to fear of criticism and fear of rejection. Successful people overcome their fear of failure. Fear incapacitates unsuccessful people. The Law of Feedback states: there is no failure; there is only feedback. Successful people look at mistakes as outcomes or results, not as failure. Unsuccessful people look at mistakes as permanent and personal. Buckminster Fuller wrote, "Whatever humans have learned had to be learned as a consequence only of trial and error experience. Humans have learned only through mistakes." Most people self-limit themselves. Most people do not achieve a fraction of what they are capable of achieving because they are afraid to trybecause they are afraid they will fail. Take these steps to overcome your fear of failure and move yourself forward to getting the result you desire: Step One: Take action. Bold, decisive action. Do something scary. Fear of failure immobilizes you. To overcome this fear, you must act. When you act, act boldly. Action gives you the power to change the circumstances or the situation. You must overcome the inertia by doing something. Dr. Robert Schuller asks, "What would you do if you knew you could not fail?" What could you achieve? Be brave and just do it. If it doesnt work o

Junebugg You are not a loser. This is extremely difficult. According to the Quit Program Workbook, most smokers will attempt to quit, at least 7 times, before making the quit stick. This is not to say that you can't make the quit stick, before 7 times. The key is preparation. If you have already done the workbook, go back and do it again. I have found that I have to revisit it over and over again to gain strength for this quit. Junebug, all I can say is that losers give up trying and you haven't! Just look on the previous attempts as practice for this one, you can do this if you are 100% determined!!
