Just checking in to say the following: I am at 131 days and still smoke free. I smoked very heavily for 53 years and am proud to say that I am hanging in there and have not had one puff in all this time. This has been one of the hardest roads I have ever traveled but I will continue my path. I still have cravings every day and I chew nicorettes to get me past those cravings. If I have to chew a few of these a day for the rest of my life I will do that. It feels good not to be treated like a second class citizen as I was every time I lit a cigarette in public. My breathing has improved and my house smells great now, all the smoke smell has disappeared. The only drawback is that I have gained about 15 pounds but I will work on that after I have the smoking completely licked. If I can do this believe me anyone can because I never thought I could. I wouldn't try because I was so afraid of failure and I was so hard core on smoking. If you are having a tough time just hang in there because it can be done. Thanks for all the encouragement I was given on this site. Sincerely, Ruth Ann
