Anxiety Attack?????

17 years ago 0 3368 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Be honest with your friend. Do not start assuming how the conversation will go. Do not let yourself get all worked up about it. Just talk to your friend with love and honesty. Friends are important, but so are you. Don't forget that. You have to take care of yourself. Communication is key. Dear 4my2girls I am sooo sorry I missed this yesterday! How are you doing today? You gave me an anxiety attach just thinking about what you do. That is a tough job. Not to mention...$25??? Be honest with your friend like everyone else told you. Yes, you might even consider quitting.....I am positive there are a number of woman who would love to have you watch their kids for double that $25 and be on time and not stress you out to the point of anxiety! And appricaite you! Seek medical attention if this persists......There just might be heart issues going on. Neither anxiety or heart problems should be taken lightly and should be treated by an MD. HOW ARE YOU TODAY?? Thank you guys very much. Last night I had a freak out moment. I was cooking dinner, and realized that it was taking longer than it should have, and it was getting late, and the kids needed to eat and go to bed......... so I freaked out on dinner. I couldn't think. I couldn't make a decision. I walked out into the garage and told my hubby that happened, and he said, why do you make the girls something else?? Oh, yeah........ so I quickly made them their dinner. Lady, I think that is exactly what I need to do. Calm down, and reward myself. I'm not that busy, but I do have a lot of things to remember.......... And I think that might be a starting point!! Josie, I took that test. thank you. The results were interesting...... katiequitter, you said something that hit me: "It is the reason you are running late that is." I didn't even think about that. I know the reason now, and I need to fix it. Unfortunately, it is the SSC..... I log on for my 20 minutes of peace in the morning, but the 20 minutes have been running longer. Sunshine, This is the first time that I have felt them this bad. I usually will just get a case of the sweats, but this time was different. I felt so out of control. I couldn't stop the shaking and the yelling and the confusion. BF, I always do that. Having conversations with myself on how it go. The bad part is that it never goes that way, so I am always caught off guard!!!! I decided that I will no longer do the daycare. Next Wednesday is my last. I have decided to just let it go. She is my friend, and I want to keep it that way. Thank you all for your support. My thoughts of smoking were high yesterday, but life over-powered them. Kinda nice..... But today, I am calmer, so I need to fight those smoking thoughts. ;) 4my2girls What Consumes Your Thoughts Controls Your Life My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 95 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,865 Amount Saved: $310.65 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 16 Mins: 27 Seconds: 47

Has anyone ever had an anxiety attack?? I'm not sure if I have/had one. This morning I freaked out and started shaking because it was 8:05am and I needed to be out the door at 8:03am to get my daughter off to school. It was a wierd shaking, I couldn't control my hands or arms. I couldn't think straight. I just freaked out over 2 minutes!!!!! Then, all day long as I was doing the daycare, my heart was pounding. I felt jittery, and distracted. Those kids didn't get away with anything today!!! And when I left, I went sobbing in my car, and just basically - out of it. Very jumpy and jittery. I had a discrepency in the amount I was owed for my babysitting services. She is a friend of mine, and an honest one with a great heart ~ but I watch way too many kids to be paid that little. And each Wednesday, it grows longer by 10 minutes. I sure do not want to ruin our friendship over money. I'd rather just stop watching her kids and forget about everything. It was a misunderstanding on my part for not clarifying a response. But to watch 3- that are 1yrs old, and 3- that are 4yrs old, plus my daughter, for 3.5 hours (I drive to her house too) is not worth $25.00. I feel like a horrible friend. What is going on??????????? Hi 4my2girls, Isn't it strange how just simple things blow us over the edge!! I think since you have made the decision to stop the day care, you will find yourself more relaxed. I think it was more stressful than you realized. Especially after you stopped smoking. You were using all of your energy trying to do both. I will be thinking of you my dear.... 4my2girls, I like Katiequitter, could write a book on panic attacks, I have been fighting them for probable 1 year now. I thought I was having a heart attack.... I notice if I am on a tight schedule, it happens every time. I have medications that I take which has helped. I am so sensitive to lots of medications an it took 4 different ones to find one that helped. And Katiequitter is right it is fear. For me anything new, different, change, or difficult will cause a panic attack. And God forbid if I have to do something on the spare of the moment. Is this the first time you have experienced these feelings? You can always talk with a friend, but of course money situations is a different problem. I'm sure she will understand. But if you continue with these attacks you need to see your Dr, that is a lot of children to take care of. I would have a panic attack just thinking about it. I'm just teasing, maybe it was just one of those days with you. I hope so... Wow, just look at those 94 days, you will be at the beach in 6 days!! We are preparing for your arrival. 4my2girls. Breathe! Stop and breathe! Sounds like you really need to calm down. Anxiety attacks are no fun and yes they can make you shake all over. I get them and it is really hard to learn how to control them. You just have to realize when you are getting over stressed and slow down. Communication is the key to your problem. Talk to your friend. Tell her how you feel. That is fair. Friends can tell each other how they really feel. You don't have to be mean, just communicate. You are almost at 100 days. When is the last time you took a break or had a reward? It may be time. Hang in there. Whatever you do, don't smoke :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 341 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,834 Amount Saved: $1193.5 Life Gained: Days: 30 Hrs: 2 Mins: 46 Seconds: 23

I could and should write a book on anxiety attacks. I actually am medicated for them, so what you have experienced is in fact an anxiety attack. It is fear. fear that everything isnt perfect, and fear that you are going to make a mistake, or fail at something. its okay to be two minutes late, but when it cause an anxiety attack, it isnt the two minutes that are the problem. It is the reason you are running late that is. Anyway... just my thoughts based on experience. Good luck, and remember to breathe. katiequitter My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/6/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 366 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,337 Amount Saved: $1464 Life Gained: Days: 28 Hrs: 6 Mins: 54 Seconds: 33

4mygirls, We all experience different withdrawal symptoms when we quit smoking, and some people do get anxiety. Quitting smoking is hard and often people find it hard to make such a dramatic change in their lifestyle. Although side effects may be unpleasant, they should pass. When you experience withdrawal symptoms, remind yourself that each symptom is a sign of recovery. Your body is in the process of healing itself. If your anxiety persists, or seems worse than you expected, you should immediately consult your doctor. Its possible that your smoking has been masking symptoms of your past history, and when you stop smoking the symptoms may abruptly become noticeable. If youre uncomfortable talking to your doctor about anxiety you may want to take The Anxiety Test at www.paniccenter.net .The test gives you a Final Report that you can print off and hand to your doctor. Hope this helps, Josie ______________________ The SSC Support Team.
