Nice post. That same forgetfulness is God's invention for having subsequent children after the experience of childbirth.

So glad u bumped this. I needed the laugh! ...plus when I succeed I need to remember how important the POSITIVE support and encouragement helped me through my battle.
Those who were smug or critical just made me dig my heals in further and put little cracks in the confidence that I needed to do this.

Actually I prefer an alternative treatment to this horrible disease. It can be motivation when used in limited doses. Say for example one were to quit smoking and still be around many smokers, If one were to surcome to ones baser urges and let out a LITTLE smugness, to a point just before annoyance, then one would have an extra hard time asking one of these smokers for a deathstick due to one's earlier actions. I mean who's going to ask someone for a cigarette when they've just told all the smokers around them how it is?
There is danger in this treatment though. If one goes too far in their smugness, the smokers around you may do all in their power to get one to smoke just to shut one up! so while this could be a good extra motivation, especially in a high stress enviornment, it must be done correctly or it could backfire!
