Sorry i haven't been in touch lately! I have so much news not sure where to begin,so here goes no place better to start than from the beginning. I haven,t been game enough to post on this site beacause a couple of weekends ago I Found out that my husband had gone into this site and read how i was feeling & I felt like he was making fun of me as he was hinting to me things that he had read, like that i was taking my frustrations out on him & the kids. I don't know why he did that but I was very hurt & upset I felt like he didn't trust me.I could have picked up a smoke than and there for spite but refused to as you all know two wrongs don't make a right! & I was determined that this time I was going to succeed. Now to the slip!It was the friday after that weekend I had to go to a union meeting for work at 7.00am I Was right on 2 weeks smoke free when we stopped for a break went outside where there was around at least 20 of my work colleague,s all in a line smoking! It was hard enough the night before at work I even asked the supervisor for a smoke she didn't want to give me one as I was doing so well & said they were on the table outside if i wanted one. I thought about it distracted myself & went upstairs for a break instead of outside and felt good afterwards because i knew tomorrow would be two weeks smoke free. I gave in at the meeting asked the same supervisor for a smoke she said I don't want the blame for smoking again so I will put the packet on the ground if you want one you can get it & stupid here did & boy did I feel QUILTY,the weird but great thing is I did'nt enjoy it at all & have not smoked since that's not to say i don't get the urge to from time to time & feel tempted. The rough start! I was taking zyban & had been on them for four weeks when all of a sudden i had a allergic reaction & as a result lips & mouth were ulcerated than became infected & reguired antibiotics,as well as tablets for the heartburn that I was suffering with. I had to have 2 days off work as my mouth was soooooo sore & I'm a catering assistant & couldn't seve customers looking the way I was. I began thinking what have I done! It would have been easier to keep smoking, than I tell myself life wasn't meant to be easy & maybe not this hard. I did change

Congratulations time2quit. It sounds like you are in the right frame of mind and in the right place to quit. Quitting isn't easy, as a matter of fact it may be one of the hardest things you ever do but it is also one of the most rewarding. Each time you make it through a situation without smoking makes you that much stronger for the next. This quit is about you and how you feel. Come here to vent whatever you need to. That is why we are here. Distraction is a good way to keep from smoking and it sounds like you have already tried that and seen how good it feels when you are successful. Forget the slip and build on the successes. Each minute you don't smoke is the stepping stone for the next. Learn all you can about the smoking addiction and keep a possitive attitude. You are not robbing yourself of any enjoyment buy choosing not to smoke. You are giving yourself the gift of life. Take back you life from the enslavement of smoking. You will be so glad you did. Congratulations on 26 smoke free days! That is Awesome! time, No need to throw 26 days to the wind! You had a slip and we thank you for sharing it with us. If you resumed smoking altogether, then you would be at square one, however you continued on with your journey and learned something from it. These feeling are normal and they will pass. Use you coping mechanism and come to the site often. Don't be embarrassed, we have seen and heard it all and are always there for support. This is your quit and you need to protect it at all costs. Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
