Thanks Sheila It is an Indoor Pool. I am in Toronto and it is really cold this weekend. Big wind in the big smoke, what an awful nickname for a world class city! Thanks Redrosie Glad to know you are out there! I this is really something new!!!!!!! Thanks Cuddles I adore your grafix, I want to know how to do that. Will you let me know? Thanks to you all so much for your support, just knowing you are reading and sharing and going through this with me is an huge and uplifting piece in this whole quiting, shifting chamging thing. Hooray another hour tic tic tic and I am smiling now rather than worrying. Love and Peace to all, off to walk the dog in the brisk cold!!!!! Yes I am celebrating! I just got through 48 hours. Absolutely Cold Turkey. I was going to write that this was a white knuckle ride and really it isn't. I came up to my computer and started writting as I noticed that I was going a little off! Yes Off the craving was eating into my mind. No Patch, no Gum non of the stuff that will be in my body! I swam yesterday and I felt better the chlorine did not burn as much. Great place to come up and write off the craving! What is everyone else doing to get through. 48 hours and I want more. MMMMMMM. They are there this morning those little nittering thoughts. AND I know that it is my mind tricking me. I am rolling into 72 hours without a smoke or a single puff. I am a total N.O.P.E. Glad of this and I am still celebrating. I am very glad for the responses and for the reads. Hope you are all doing well and continuing your path to freedom! Great Job Riverdale! I too am going cold turkey. Celebrating the 2 week mark this weekend. The first three days are the hardest so just 1 more to go for you then things do start to get easier. Unfortunatly, food has been my main comfort during the craves. I just have to remember that it did work, so well worth a few extra pounds. Also drinking plenty of water and doing the deep breathing exercises have helped me. And of course being here either posting or just reading helps. BTW, was that an indoor pool or are you fortunate enough to be some place warm? Dealing with wind chills below freezing here this weekend. Congrats Phillip on going into day 3. You should be very proud of yourself. You're right, this place is great to come to. It really does help tons and bunches. You also need to keep busy, busy, busy. Either by doing the things you love, or maybe try something new. Keep Close, Keep Strong. Hi :) Let's party!~lol Congrats on doN so well. I'm not really going through anything anymore. The stray 'smoke thought' comes if something triggers it (a memory, seeing it, etc.) However, it is no stronger a thought than 'I'm hungry or I'm sleepy' It's great to have the handcuffs off because 'one' is never enough for me. Look at the number of the cigarettes I haven't smoked on my meter. Pretty scarey huh? :8o: Keep that great attitude! CONGRATULATIONS RIVERDALE!!!!! From one swimmer to another, I too know how much better it feels to swim and not be out of breath all the time. I haven't swam competitively in a long time and I'm nowhere near great, but I'm making better time on my workouts than I have in YEARS!!! And I can tell you that it only gets better!!! Congratulations on 2 huge days! Crave the Quit!
