Welcome Sam85,

I am sorry to hear you miss your girlfriends and are having trouble adjusting to the new job. A move is a huge transition.
I am happy to read though that you have a happy marriage. You marriage will certianly be considered a protective factor. Working on this program can also help protect  you from the mental challenges of moving. Have you had a chance to get started? How are you feeling today?

I heard an expression that helped me through a change of location. It is "Grow where you have been planted." To grow well, you will have to nurture yourself like you would nurture a plant. Water and fertilizer, as in eat healthy. Some shelter from the elements, that could be caring from your husband and reaching out long distance to your old friends. Don't forget the sunshine - surround yourself with happy people. Happiness is contagious.

Moved to a new city with limited social support( miss my girlfriends). Happily married for more that 30 years, having difficulty adjusting to a new job.
