Welcome!

I am sorry to hear finding support has been such a struggle for you. I am glad you find us. Have you had a chance to get started on  the program? The program may be able to help you. The program is based on cognitive behaviour therapy(CBT)  principles. CBT is one of he most evidence based treatments available for depression.

I would encourage you to continue looking for the right medication for you. With bipolar disorder and with depression it can take time to find the right medication. With that being said it is also essential that you receive a proper diagnosis. It is important to find a doctor is willing to work with you. It sounds like you have already tried a lot of different medications and doctors so I can only imagine the frustration you are feeling but I want to encourage you not to give up. What are your thoughts on this?

In the past, a doctor let me be sick for 2 years because he was afraid I would get upset if he said the word depression. Instead he treated me for things like ulcers, Atypical hepatics. Finally when I told him that I was afraid that I would get into such a panic that I would hurt my daughter. He offered an antidepressant drug. I said I was willing to try anything. That is when he told me he thought I was depressed all along. He was just scared to tell me for some completely unexplainable reason. So, don't go to a young doctor that is timid to tell the truth. Do not worry about a name, I used one of my horse's names.

I just came to say hi and introduce myself. I have been having issues with depression/bipolar for many years. I have never been properly diagnosed as finding a doctor who actually cares and has time is impossible it seems. I have tried different medications and they only make dopey, like I am stoned...maybe that's the idea, to make you so tired you don't noticed you are depressed.

I couldn't think of a good nickname, I though fedup would be good as I am just so fedup with feeling miserable, tired, angry, hurt, judged and depressed.

Anyways just wanted to say hi.
