Feeling much better, but in need of opinions.

Hi Katie-Lynn,

I would say working on CBT is still important. Relapse with depression is the norm and it is important to have skills and knowledge in place to help you work through a potential relapse. The program does take time and work but it is well worth it. There is no rush on when to complete it though. Break the program down into managable chunks. Read only one page a day if you have to - perhaps make it part of your routine (like when you have your morning coffee). The days and pages will add up quickly.

Keep us updated on how you are doing.

Hi. How long have you been working on CBT?

So I started my CBT after being assessed by a psychiatrist.  I haven't gotten very far, I admit.  Besides CBT, the psychiatrist recommended light therapy, supplements, and also increased my bupropion from 150 mg to 450 mg (I also take 200 mg of sertraline).

I have been feeling pretty awesome lately considering I had a suicide attempt in February.  My family has all noticed a huge difference in my mood and I certainly feel better and have much more energy.

I am just wondering if I should continue with CBT?  I'm feeling better so should I just "leave well enough alone" as they say?  It's just that I feel a little overwhelmed at times with everything I am trying to accomplish and how to divide my time.  I am struggling to work part time from home with a 2 and 7 year old that obviously take up a lot of my time, meals to cook, laundry to do, etc.  I also clean houses part time when I can to earn more money.

Any insight would be really appreciated.
