Hi, got the referral and an appointment for May. I'm so excited. I'm still dizzy. I think I mentioned I had a melt down and called the dr and he doubled my anti-depressant which he said has a side effect of dizzy. I don't know if I'm still dizzy from before or if I have that side effect.....but the dizziness still lingers, waxing and waning in intensity from day to day.
I've worked very hard on my acceptance, tolerance and patience. I don't seem to have the emotional hysteria I had before, probably as a result of the double the augmenting anti-depressant. I don't feel much of nothing right now, but that's okay. I'm better than before emotionally ( a relief). WHEW!!!
E-mailed my physician re: the referral, she called back yesterday, but I missed the phone cal. I hope to find out soon. I called the Clinic that is relatively close and could have scheduled an appt, but I need a referral for my insurance. My gp and I have a good rapport, so I doubt it's any problem.
I'm so happy to hear that you may be getting closer to a solution. I know you've been dealing with this for a long time and it sounds awful. My thoughts are with you.
I am so happy I was able to provide with the information to start you on your journey of recovery and the fact that
you are excited is awesome.
Right now as I am typing this I am sitting with the biggest smile on my face. (this is me, well sort of, my mouth is a little smaller) due to the fact that there is a light at the end of the tunnel for you in the form of a treatment.
I do hope your referral is soon & would love to know the outcome. You were in my thoughts, my heart went out to you and your plight. I wanted to do something to help, thank-you for making my day by letting me know that I have helped it really means a lot to me.
I've spent most of the day trying to focus and read the website you sent me. It is awesome and I was able to find a provider (specialist) that my insurance will cover, well, 3 hours away from here, but trust me that is considered close as this area is so rural. I also read about the treatment to which you were referring and also additional treatments that my physicians (gp or ENT) obviously have no clue about. It is a one-horse town!
I've got a friend who lives in the city to which I am referring to the specialist location (that didn't make sense). Anyway, I got somewhere to stay, I think, I've asked anyway. I'm going to call my gp and request a referral!!!!
The sheet on the psychological effects described what I've been feeling to a "T". Especially since it's occurred so close together and lasted so long. It was reassuring and reaffirming. Sometimes we need to know that....but that's what part of this program is about, learning to recognize those things.
I type all this to let you know a fraction of the things I've learned today and how excited I am about the possible new treatments. And how appreciative of the information that you provided to me. Thanks for taking the time to find the website and also to share it. I'll let you know how it goes....I hope it's not far off in the distance (an appt.).
