I'm going to try to get my Christmas Cards addressed today.  I've procrastinated long enough....
Where is the post that we get to tell our horrible holiday stories and why we hate them so much??

You know, it's so tempting to say that this isn't my favourite season either. It bothers me to see everyone running around being all happy, shouting Merry Christmas Happy Holidays and all that blah blah blah.

BUT...I am going to try hard to say how I make this season better for me. I use the opportunity to bake and make lots of cookies which I enjoy...and then I don't feel guilty for eating them because it's the "season"...food makes me happy.

Pete and Lost, well I know that not everyone can be enthusiastic at this time of the year, and that some are more than others.

Maybe other members can share what they do to make this season better for themselves and others, and you might get some ideas you could try. Sid mentioned giving to others, which can make you appreciate the power and the happiness that giving brings.

I would love to hear from other members also.

I'm with Lost on this one.

Bad time of year so I stay out of it as much as I can, hunker down and wait for January.

Josie,

I am so glad that you brought up this topic other wise I would have forgotten that I plan on buying some toys for the Toys For Tots box this year.  This is a program run here in the states by the Marine Corp. where you can buy and donate new toys to families in need at Christmas  time so that they can have gifts for their children at Christmas.  Their are large boxes you can put the toys in at various stores like Walmart.   I did this one year and this brought me more joy than anything else I have ever done at Christmas.   It is a definitely a win win feel good thing to do at Christmas.

This is not a good, happy, warm kind of season for me.... so, I generally try to stay quiet.  It's better than being negative or making some one angry by my lack of enthusiasum.

Tis the season!

What do you do to make the season a better one for you and for others?
