Can Personality Change?

14 years ago 0 125 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
This IS SUper interesting

I always thought my personality was mine and thats that but now that you mention it I have noticed changes when I try.  I think another important thing to emphasis is that your relationships REALLY effect u.  Not only because how other ppl act but also by how they expect you to act.  They put you in little peg holes of expectations and if you try to push out you are met with resistance.  I would like to say more on this but I am not really good at explaining myself..  But I hope you get my idea...

This is a very interesting discussion. According to  an article by K. Kersting personalities due indeed change over time. In fact in terms of agreeableness and contentiousness we change the most. (Kersting, 2003)

But members, what do you think? Throughout our lives are personalities’ change depending on our experiences, our environment, our health, our relationships, etc. We develop different patterns of behaviour depending on a multitude of different reasons. But we can change those behaviours! Depending on what we value and who we want to be, we can change! Challenge yourself.  Try things you normally wouldn’t. Step outside your box and believe in yourself. There will be obstacles but together we can face them!

Members, what are your thoughts? Who do you want to be?
