That's brilliant. I'm happy for you - enjoy the walk and time with your son.

Hey goofy
That is great news. Glad it is taking strain off you and that you get to spend time with your son- enjoy it! It's great that you were going to participate anyway but now I am sure you will enjoy it more! Keep up the good work- thinking about you.

I mentioned earlier that I was going to do a NAMI walk ( a fundraising event for NAMI).  My son called today and asked if he could still attend with me. I had asked earlier and they said they (he and his wife) wouldn't be able to!  However, he's decided he can go!  He's always had difficulty accepting my depression though he's helped me and continues to help me in many ways!  I think his wanting to go is a reflection of his acceptance!  I am overjoyed that is going to go "walk" with me!  It is a 5 hour drive from where I live to the walk and a 5 hour drive back.  I could ride the van ( a group is going) but have been overly anxious about the prospect of being on the van with many people I don't know.  This will also take that worry off my mind as he and I would ride together and drive separately and spend quality time together (can't get enough of that) even when they are 29!  I almost teared up when he told me - tears of joy - over sensitive probably!  But now I am even more excited about my deciding to participate in this event and the double benefit of spending time with him and the triple benefit of a sign of his acceptance!
