Okay, Rose and I joked about this in another thread - but what about "female, fat and over 40".
From that springs my idea - I have read that a large percentage of women are diagnosed with MDD at or around age 40.  I know this is the time hormones start, well, for lack of better term, going haywire.  THe studies I read indicated that there was a strong positive correlation, but my researching is limited by my focus/concentration issues.

I definitely see a fluctuation of my symptoms with changes in my monthly cycle - mood, anxiety, agitation, cravings, etc.  I take HRT (hormone replacement therapy). The ob/gyn doesn't want me to, the general practitioner either, but the psychiatrist says if it helps take it.  I think it helps though there are some negative side effects and risks associated with doing so.  I'd like to know more!

Well sylvie,
since you asked ... I would like a whole lot of info on nutrition!  It is nice to say eat well. Eat a varity of fruit and veg.  But with me it is often specific craving for sugars and fats depending which side og the swing I am on.

and face it a bag of baby carrotts will not do it if you want the salt of chips ... rice crackers will.  If you want the crunch of chip the carrotts are good.

I would like to know the equivalences ... you know might as well have that donut if the other option is the full fat cream-cheese on white bread bagel!

also blueberries are good for depression why? why is fish omega-3 and 6 more bioavailable than soya?

so one good thing, one good snack habit a week might be helpfull at the end of the year -45 good habits and a few holidays!-
