Moody much?

I'm sorry Diva for your hairy friend. I know too well how you feel. I lost my older dog one month and a half ago... The only thing you can do is offer to your friend all your love. And they know it. In the period when she was sick I had lots of bad dreams too. But I believe that were only the emotions that I couldn't express during the day. It was worst to see her ill than when she passed away. She was old (17) but it was a tumor....
In Italy there is a legend that's called "Il ponte dell'Arcobaleno" - The Rainbow Bridge. It is told that every pet when he had enough of this world will cross that bridge and go to meet all his freinds. And that he always will live in our hearts. Don't be afraid to cry it is your friend.

Yes that dream hadquite an effect on me because it forced me to examine something I do not want to examine. I know my cat is not doing so well. I do not want to do therapeutic harrassement on the poor cat just because I love him and don't want to lose him. Yet, I am afraid to give up on him too soon. So I called my vet and they said I should bring him in to have a check up and they can help me figure out how he is. I have been avoiding doing that because I am afraid they will ask me to have him put down for his own comfort. Man this is hard to write. I can't stop crying now. At the same time it feels nice to be able to say this somewhere. I am not ready to let him go. But sometime sI am afraid he toughs it out 'cause he senses I am not ready. I know I have to let him go if I truely love him. At the same time, I don't want to give up on him before he is ready to go. Some people talk of cats as its, for me my cat is a him. He is my best friend and has been for the last 13-14 years. and he is the best cat ever. He is so sweet. And now I don't know how to deal with this. The vet says to bring him in and they can most likely help him and I will. But I am afraid they can't help him. He won't eat. I want him to be ok but he is not. I want to give him what he needs. To me he is more then just a silly cat. I am hurting. This dream reminded me that I cannot delude myself. He is not doing well and if he doesn't get better I will have to say goodbye but I am not ready. I am so scared and sad and lost and confused.

Truth is this has been bothering way more then I care to admit and it weighs on me a lot. I will bring him to the vet.

Diva,

I'm sorry to hear about your bad dream. Seems like it had quite the effect on you, but, as you know, it was just a dream. Hopefully these negative thoughts will clear from your mind soon. I am also sorry to hear that your cat is sick. It sounds like you are a wonderful and caring person, and a great caregiver, I'm sure your cat appreciates it.
Stay strong, and like you said, it will pass.

Hi guys,

I am having a very weird morning. Not altogether bad, but not great either. I had a bad dream. A really bad one. It was like: La descente aux enfers.(The descent into the inferno). And yet for the longest time I could just not wake up. Then I tried what I often do and kinda made sure to follow-up the dream in my head but make the ending happier. Sounds simplistic bu it often works. And it did help. But still... I am here and I still feel upset. I feel like there is an ugly fog in my head and I feel really anxious and sad. I keep feeling like I will cry. Now I know this will pass. Still makes for a funky morning though. Also, tthis dream touched on a subject that I have trouble dealing with: the fact that my cat is sick and most likely has less time left then I would like. I can't even think of him leaving me. I have trouble putting his name in the same sentence as the big D word.I have a very strong attachment to that cat. He is the best cat ever! I love him. But he is super sick. I have to take care of him a lot. This lets me know he won't be here as long as I would like. Atm, I am trying to deal with that and make him as comfy as possible and let him know he is loved. Just writting this I am crying. Silly me. I find this horrible to deal with. I don't deal with this stuff well. So yes, this dream has put a fog in my head and until it clears I feel anxious and sad.

The reason I am here though is because I feel so different from usual and it bugs me. I find that lately I cannot shake things off like I usually do. Usually I can have a huge fight with someone then go and do my homework for 8 hours straight no problems! Or I have a bad dream and I give it a happy ending, get up, make a nice decaf and move on with my day. Lately, I fight with someone I take two days before I can be productive again. I have a bad dream and half the day goes by in a funk. Is this normal? This increased sensitivity to everything and this lack of gumption to get over it? Man I just wonder what is up with me. I can't wait to feel back to normal.

Anyway, as I have stated before, this will pass. I will manage to have a pretty good day anyway. Have a good one everyone and thank you for letting me vent.

For me going to the park and pet some dogs and talk with their owners. After 10 minutes of "pettherapy" I feel much better.

If you are feeling sad or down, and you feel like you could cry, I think that it is healthy to lie down, close your eyes, have a good cry, gather your thoughts, and then let all of the negativity that you're feeling go. Like you said, the feeling will most likely pass, but in the mean time, relax.
Members, what are some of the ways that you cope with low moods?

You are not the only. I often feel moody too. Especially for PMS. Or when I have too many things in my head. When I start dividing problems and concentrate only on one problem at the time I start feeling a little better and stable. If I remember to do that :)
Often I'm sorry for the persons around me that have to cope with my moods. But I cannot do very much about this.

Hi guys,

I guess I am here because I needed to vent. I feel very moody. It is weird how one minute I am feeling optimistic and happy (like earlier for example) and the next I feel exhausted and sad and edgy and angry anfd just generally down. Right now I could cry.I feel like I have too much on my plate and like I have the wait of the world on my shoulders. I am sure this will pass and tomorrow will be better. But atm I am just really feeling badly. I hate being tired so easily and I despise feeling so moody! Bleh, end of rant! Enough with the woe is me thing for today! See you all tomorrow!
