Trying to Introduce myself and be an active member

Forgot to mention, I have a long history of depression, been treated since 1983 by medication, psychoanalysis. First big depression I remember was in grade five, too many to count have followed. Very strong genetic history, 5 siblings, 4 of 6 have been treated or are still being treated for depression. ADD also very prevalent in my family, Seems I'm not too techy, I couldn't figure out how to add to my first submission, so I answered myself?? -

Hi I'm 57 - the years are getting more and more precious and too many have slipped away in despair, unhappiness and my very best defense-numbness. I realize the years left are getting fewer and I don't want to miss them. I want to live them, to feel them and to be thankful every single day for the gift of life. I've had so many wonderful plans on how to do this - they just don't pan out - over and over and over. Seems to be a good time to try something different. I've been looking for the way to "introduce myself" for the past hour and a half. this seems to be the only road into the group, so I hope it works. I'm ready to work and I want to help and be helped. One baby step after another. Each others support can keep those going in the right direction. Thanks for listenig. y-claire
