Hi, me,
I am sorry for the situation that you find yourself in right now. Now, you have to start rebuilding your life back up. First thing is, and congratulations, is that you've been diagnosed and that means that you are now aware of what's going on; you're aware that you have medical help in Canada to bring you back to a working-state with some more energy. You'll be going to a live group support at the hospital under the aegis of your psychiatrist (or you should be!). You'll notice the medicine take effect and stabilise you soon. The panic of being sick and alone will subside. You will start to make plans for your future, set yourself deliberate goals, one at a time ( starting your Sessions here will help you.) You can talk to us and tell us your story so we can get to know you and help you.
Make short footsteps into these plans. Deal with the illness first by joining a support group. Turn to this site when you're not with the group and you feel panicky; the counsellors are listening to us all the time and have great concrete advice and support.
Be 'religious' about taking your meds as prescribed. Eat properly (you don't have to cook fruit!) and walk up and down your apartment for exercise - speak to Brenna (new counsellor) about exercise you can do to maintain your energy and dopamine levels.
I can't say anything valuable about your job situation or your money - tell us more about your circumstances so we can suggest other avenues of help for you...
