Gabbi, Thanks for your support. Things are going well. I have decided that I can't worry about co-workers problems or let it control my life. I have taken back the control and feel stronger for doing that. Next week I will be increasing my time in the office to 4 days and one day at home. In a couple of week I am treating myself to a spa day with a girlfriend. We are having candlelight massage and a facial. I can't wait. How is the house hunting? Are the kids glad to be back at school? How are you feeling? Take care - Sharon

Gabbi, Thanks so much for the words of encouragement! I really have been struggling lately, and having more bad days than good, but I really think it's because of thinking about my dad. I appreciate you sharing, I know that feeling of overwhelming saddness, and it's good to know it's normal. Hope all is going ok. How's the house hunting going? Did you go see that house you were talking about? I don't know if you are able to tell in this room or not, but where are you from? I'll be praying about the situation with your husband. I can understand how it could be difficult to suddenly give affection when things haven't been that great. If you are willing to try and want to work things out, I will pray to that end. If not I pray you have the strength to do what needs to be done. Hope to hear from you soon. Kelly

Sharon sorry to hear about your work problems just remember it is not you.I know its easy for me to say but tell yourself he is not worth getting upset/stressed about.Keep going to work dont let him get the better of you you are so much better than he is.And if you leave work would he then get your job?Dont give him the satisfaction. I finally got hold of that real estate agent and am going to have a look at a house on Monday.Fingers crossed. My hubby has been though it pains me to say it he has been really good the past week or so he has been coming home from work straight away playing with the kids and trying to be affectionate with me.I say try cause its a real effort for me to give affection back to him. We'll see how long it lasts.Anyhow please take care.Gabbi. Kelly please dont ever feel like your 'dumping' on us thats what we are here for to support you in the difficult times as well as the easier times.I understand how you like to be alone though i do that myself.Im sure the aniversary of your dads death will be hard for you so please dont hesitate to call for support at anytime.Though i still have both my parents i lost my grandma who i was very close to it will be 5 years ago in April and there are still days that the overwhelming feeling of sadness because i miss her so much hits me it does get easier in time it might not feel like it now but the pain lessens a little.I hope you know you arnt alone :)Gabbi.

Sharon, I am so glad things are going well!!!! You earned the days at home, I know how much energy it can take to get through some days. Keep running the race and jumping the hurdles! Are you like me? The shakes and nerves always come after the fact! :) I was calm as a clam before and during my wedding but almost hyperventilated as soon as I walked back down the isle to leave the church. Sorry for the delay in replying, I haven't been on line for several days. I have been having a rough time lately, and have kind of been avoiding contact of any kind. I know that isn't really what is best when we are feeling down, but it is just safer than "dumping" on those around you. I had a very revealing but stressful (and tearful) meeting with my psychologist this week, and he gave me some exercises to do before I go back. I don't know, maybe they will help. I also think I am having trouble because the 1st anniversary of my father's death is looming. It is Feb. 26th. He was really an awesome guy, and I miss him very much. We've made it through many of the "firsts", but this one is going to be tough. Just the other day, something happened at work and the first thing I thought was "Oh, I can't wait to tell Dad about this one!" I just really miss him. Anyway, enough of this. Hope you continue to have encouraging times at work! I hope the mouth-guard helps! I know my massage therapist has a fit when she works on my face! :) Kelly

Gabbi, I am glad you are playing netball. I am not playing tomorrow as my youngest daughter has an ice-hockey game and we only have one car. My work has gone downhill. The coworker that I have been having difficulties with has decided not to do mediation. He originally said he would but now he has backed out. This made my stress level and anxiety increase and I couldn't control my emotions. I had to leave work. I don't know what to do or what I can do, besides not going to work and I don't think that is a good thing for me. Any suggestions. How is your netball? How is the house hunting? I know that you will find something soon. In regards to coming back home to Australia, at this point I don't think I could make it on a plane. I am quite terrified of flying at the moment. I would be leaving middle of June as my birthday is June 17. I will have to decide when the closer to June. Take care and lots of hugs Sharon

Hello Kat, It has been a long time. How is your back? Things here are improving. I am back at work. This week I am working full time, but I am able to work 2 days at home. I am really enjoying this. I am beginning a mediation process with a co-worker and I am trying to learn to say no to people. I have a problem of taking on to much work and saying yes to everything but not having the time to do it. I am a people pleaser and that is so hard to break. I have already taken on two other projects when I said I would only take on one project. Take care and I look forward to hearing from you. Lots of love - Sharon

Kelly, How is your week going? Mine is going really well. For the first time since April 2005 I went into work two days straight. I am looking forward to working from home for the next two days. I am heading to the dentist tomorrow to pick-up my mouth guards. I am having major sensitivity pain in my lower right bottom teeth. My dentist said it's stress, which I do have a lot off. I overcame a huge hurdle on Monday. I went to a staff meeting with over 120 people. I can a report for my work unit. I was so anxious and I shook for two hours after, but I am glad that I did it. Look forward to hearing from you Sharon

Sharon, I am soooooo glad things are going well this week!! It's great that you can work at home. I agree with you, going to work is good for me too. I always feel better when I get to see my kids. They always make me smile. I think too much when I'm at home too. :p Netball sounds like a lot of fun, but also a lot of work! :) Exercise does help a lot for us, and it is something I need to do more of. I have been doing ok with going to work, thanks so much for asking. Hope to talk to you soon! Kelly
