Hi buzzz1000, Please seek medical assistance for your concerns. As Karen advised, you may want to consider the services of a local mental health clinic. Another option may be any local support groups. Your family doctor may also be able to provide you with guidance. Casey _______________________________ The Depression Center Support Team

Hi Buzz- Do you maybe have any community mental health services close to you? They can be a great help when money is tight. They allow you to pay by what you can afford and you can still get the help you need. When i was on my own and didn't have alot of money i took advantage of their services and i found them to be of great help. before that i consulted my family physician who was at least nice enough to realize that i was depressed and gave me samples of medications so i didn't have to pay. just some thoughts. i have found that it does help to come here and write about what's bothering you because we have all been there (and mostly still are) and we understand about it. take care and please post more, Karen

Ok, here's the problem, I've gone through alot of depression for many years and have never seen a doctor. The reason I haven't seen a doctor is because of money. See, I have gone through 3 major back operations in the pass 12 yrs. and have been unemployed for the pass 8 yrs. I have 3 children and my wife is the only one that works. I do not have insurance. I am at home alone all day and get very bored.I have major memory loss due to taking great amounts of medication (up to 52 pill a day) mostly pain pills.I no longer take that many pills. But I have been on large dosages for approx 12 yrs.I guess what I am asking for is some ideas for assistance in seeking some medical and mental help.I have always had the attitude that I wouldnt see a doctor for the simple fact that I would be using money that my wife needs to support this family. In other words Id rather do without than for her to spend her money on me going to a doctor.I took the depression test an I was evaluated as needing to see a phycritris immediately basically. Thanks
