medication effectiveness

Hi again Bob- I don't know what those studies show. i only know about my own experiences. there have been several times in my life when i was on anti depressants and for one reason or another went off from them. now that my doctor has found the right dosage and the right combination of them, i don't think i would ever go off from them again. yes there can be side effects. when i first started taking them i had extreme nausea but it subsided after about a week. i do have dry mouth but it is a small price to pay for the benefit i get. everyone is affected differently by meds- some people don't have any side effects at all. i consider the meds i take for my depression akin to the meds my husband takes for his high blood pressure. they are what i need in order to live a healthy life. thanks for asking. hi i went onto a cognitive behaviour web site. i was surprised to see that it questioned the effectiveness of antidepressents as a method of treating depression. the site implied that placeboes were found to be just as effective as the actual medications. additionally the meds frequently came with unpleasent side effects. any comments bob
