I like the idea of a 20's support group. I am 27, a stay-at-home mother of two and married to the man of my dreams...and yet I still suffer from depression. I would really like to see a support group for my status...20 something stay-at-home mothers/wives.

hi folkster i just joined the online support group and came across ur entry.....i'm also 24... it's been a while since u posted that msg...i just emailed u at the address u specified, but it bounced back to me...hope everything is ok with u. i've been struggling w/ depression on and off for the last several years, and so far, i've only been able to connect w/ others who are in similar situations online. I recently graduated from university and have been looking for a f/t job...unfortunately i think that's contributed to my depression and it's a cyle - my depression is making me so unmotivated i 'm not being very productive in my job search.. so that's a little about me and my situation.... what's been going on w/ u? look forward to hearing from u,

I'd like to start a 20-something email group/listserve. The more I read these boards I realize that I'm not alone. There seems to be alot of 20-somethings like myself, floating in a deep depression around the country. I've had chronic clinical depression all my life, but now at 24, everything I had going for me seems to be crumbling. The stress of establishing myself as an adult in a career on my own 1000 miles from my family is more than I can bear on my own. It seems that this time in life is difficult for anyone, but having depression makes it feel impossible. I think that having an email support system for those of us in our 20's would be helpful. We can share our similar experiences and hopefully help each other over the hump ("quarter-life crisis" as it is now called). If you are interested in participating please email me at depression20s@hotmail.com I look foward to hearing from you.
