Sorry to hear you are feeling on edge. It makes sense considering the time of year, as you mentioned. How are you taking care of yourself now? What normally helps you get through it?

Well the anxiety cycle has returned.
The calmness lasted about 2 weeks.
I'm starting to think this is just seasonal affective disorder. It seems to be worse some years. It's been chilly the last 2 days in Florida.
And I'm also in the middle of the period that my parents died. Father October 22, 2008. Mother November 13, 1976.
I am not a fan of Autumn.
So I'm a bit off. Just feel on edge today But ill get through it.
Always do.

Thanks. I was in the tall building yesterday. Did not have an issue. Yes, it was a bit scary but i just tried not to think about it.
Basically I was inspecting 72 units.
I have my appointment with my therapist today. Been about 4 years since I've been there.
My wife is always very supportive but there are just some things you can only a trained therapist can understand.
Thanks again.

Hello David, I saw your post and totally understand. Right out of high school, I became an electricians apprentice. I worked in the commercial building side of things, and was constantly exposed to heights(Not a fan of heights at all). With exposure it does get somewhat better. Glad to hear that your anxious bouts are lessening.

Ashley, in fact, yes, with more exposure and getting used to just my new work location have helped.
One of my main problem has always been worrying about things that never happen.
It's very nice working near the beach even though my job is hardly glamorous.
In finding a happy balance between the good and bad.
And my intense anxiety from last week has lessened. Seemed to start getting better during and after my leg day workout on Sunday.
The intensity of a workout often brings me some relief.
Thanks for replying to my post.

Hello,
I'm new to this website and forum, but have been suffering with anxiety since I was 6-7.  I had a stillborn over 3 years ago and ecently I've been constantly worried about my other children.  Intrusive thoughts come at me from all over and I'm struggling to survive.

Welcome back!

It's great to read from you!

I am sorry to read you are going through a bout now. It makes sense anxiety would be triggered if you have to face your fears daily. Do you think the fears have been subsiding with more exposure you have?

Memories can play with us sometimes and make us feel more anxious. I keep repeating certain images in my mind that are disturbing and cause to increase my anxiety.

In any case, let us know how it goes with the doctor :) I've got mine tomorrow. Such a coincidence

I have my regular appointment with my doctor tomorrow. I will discuss it.
I'm pretty sure some of this is stress related. Hurricane Irma caused me to have a lot of anxiety. It went right through our part of Florida. Plus, Fall is often a tough time for me. Bad memories of my mother dying November 1976 and my father October 2008.
And seasonal affective disorder sometimes makes it worse.
But I might need a tweak of my meds.
I'm doing all the right things to be well.
Went heavy on leg Workout today.  Fun weekend with my wife. But sometimes it's a new issue. Been on same combo since 2011.
