Hello Everyone,
New here. I know I will be welcomed, even if I don't have nearly as frequent PA's or other symptoms as I imagine other here do. I've decided to go through the course materials and take any bits that seem helpful in understanding the process of PA's and how to deal/overcome them.
I've probably only had less than 10 PA's in my lifetime. The worst was when my daughter was being born. And the most recent was while camping at May Lake near Yosemite Valley about 3 weeks ago. The most recent one was tough because the PA lasted almost 12 hours.
After reading some of the materials thus far, I definitely recognize that I practice a lot of avoidance, especially around larger groups and social situation. However, since I mostly avoid, those aren't really PA inducing, they would be more likely to raise my stress and anxiety levels though. My PA's have mostly been about bathroom issues. Not knowing where I can go when I need to go ASAP. I've had undiagnosed diarrhea issues for a long time. I also know that lack of sleep, in conjunction with being sick or having bathroom issues can really trigger PA's for me.
Anyway, hopefully I can learn some tricks, and come to a better understanding about my issues. After this I plan trying out mycompass too.
Hope everyone who reads this is having a good day and a good week.
