Lanet, I had calf pain, and an acupuncturist asked me to stretch my calves out after exercise, so the pain has subsided.

Hi Lanet,

I am glad you had this checked out by a doctor. Anxiety can cause muscle tension and even twitching. Dehydration can also cause what you are describing. You also might want to look into magnesium supplements as a lack of magnesium can cause what you are describing. We can use a lot of magnesium when we are stressed.

Let us know what you discover helps you.

I would say you should check vitamin D, calcium and potassium levels, anxiety disorders use these up fast. Calcium and potassium are necessary for muscle function. A banana with milk and cheerios might help in a couple of days.

Hi

I'm a newbie so hello everyone.  Huge respect to you all for being the soldiers you are x

Just wanted to ask if anyone experiences fatigue, sore tight aching muscles. I started out with twitches in the backs of my calves and the muscles were tight and constantly felt like they were verging on charley horse cramps. It began to scare the hell out of me I had never experienced something like this before. I got so anxious and then I was experiencing horrendous tightness and soreness in my neck, arms and shoulders and experiencing twitches and jerks in the night which I could not sleep through. The sensation feels like being placed into a scalding bath really painful. I've had the nerve conduction tests, MRI and all blood work and everything A ok.  I have had two years of a bad amount of stress to deal with and someone mentioned that anxiety can cause really bad tension and twitching and fatigue in muscles.  Exercise seems to make it worse. I am on anxiety meds small dose but the pain is pretty dire especially when I have to get up to go to work.  Does anyone else experience this?
