Getting by.

9 years ago 0 6252 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Started the day off cleaning house and ended it watering green houses. In between I put some furniture together and worked in my little green house. A good day I would say. If it rains tomorrow I'll put more furniture together. Still two or three pieces, four boxes anyway. Big boxes. Otherwise it is lawn mowing and weeding the strawberries. I don't have any more trips to the city for six weeks. Then the other surgery after that.
Saw a black bear and her two year old cub in the back yard early this morning.
Karin has allergies and asthma. So right now I'm carrying the load. I am so glad I don't have allergies. So for her getting by can be a lot harder than for me.

Pushed a bit yesterday so I'm tired and sore and Karin with Chronic fatigue is probably worse. I bounce back better than her. Since it is a three hour drive to the city it makes sense to get as much done as we can while we are there.
Like I said in another post. I have concern but not worry so the freezer has pre made meals in it so that if I'm tired I don't have to cook. Sprinklers only need to be turned on and We can sit on the deck if needed. All about balance. I actually used a wheel chair in the big box store. Might have to get one in the future. I can sit long periods and drive long distances but my back won't let me stand or walk for long.
We got life jackets and fishing gear. Now to get licences and licence the trailer and we can go fishing. We stopped at a little lake that is stocked with fish on the way home to see how hard it would be to put the boat in it.

My appointment went well. The plastic lens that replaced the cataract gave me 20/20 vision in that eye. The other one should be the same. Can't wait to get it done. No more glasses.

Only bad thing about the trip was her car got backed into. The damage isn't bad.

Got up early today to put the drawers together. I don't want to but they are otherwise in the way so I will do it.
Clear sky. Going to be hot today. Just the fact I have to do this is bothering me. And there are twelve of them. I'd rather be mixing the soil for the flower boxes. Karin can't do either so I'm stuck with this. Ah well they only take about five minutes each to put together. Tomorrow I will be gone all afternoon for a ten minute check up. Three hour drive each way. Then my time is my own till the next surgery. And next checkup.

I took the time out today to assemble the frame for Karin's bed. Tomorrow I will put the twelve drawers together. Two hours might do it so I will have time for some weeding. I have four flower boxes to mix soil for. Putting petunias in them.
I'm tired now. Might rain tonight but tomorrow will be sunny. I had a headache all day.

"Here comes the sun"

I hope that doesn't run through my head all day. Anyway it is getting blue outside so I can neglect house cleaning to go play outside. I have a friend who lawn bowls and works for a living, she jokingly says she will clean house in September. Her husband is good about helping so she can do what she enjoys. Part of getting by I guess. All that lovely rain will bring the weeds out quicker than the sprinklers do. I like weeding, it is calming to sit on my weed bench and listen to birds and look around. Now it will also make the lawn grow and except that it looks good after it is done it isn't as much fun. Accomplishment goes a long ways toward happiness when you have to do something that really is a chore. No getting away from chores short of death unless you can make them not chores by wanting to do them. And this definitely is not possible with everything but you can lessen the stress so they are bearable.
I need to make bread this morning before I go outside only because I don't use salt and actually prefer my bread to store bought. I love the smell of fresh baked bread. Like the smell of fresh coffee.

Anyway it is time to get mobile so I can enjoy this day.

Damn, I fell asleep in my chair and didn't get the marigolds out before it started to rain. I really wanted them out. Cleaned house instead and cooked. I guess I will do them tomorrow. They are starting to flower. Tired again. I weeded a bit in the greenhouse and listened to the rain on it.
Still edgy from the morphine, day two of withdrawal, tomorrow should be fine. Lemon Balm tea really helps. In fact it needs to be harvested already. So does the oregano and winter savoury.

I'm very sensitive to mediations. I'm doing withdrawal from Morphine which I seldom use. But I had some pain Tylenol wouldn't handle. And yes it is as bad as TV portrays it. It should be over tomorrow. Knowing this helps but tonight I am edgy and grumpy. Have to go tire myself out. Not that I will likely sleep tonight anyway. There is always a potential for this with a panic disorder.
It sucks, but it is what it is.
On the lighter side, there was a lynx by the pond today hunting.

Having a little trouble getting started today. I have a few onion sets to put in but other than that it is just flowers. About a hundred of them. I was up pretty late last night. Second day I have missed taking calcium so I'm a bit edgy.
Getting hot now so I better do some watering even though I'd rather sleep. I'll take the calcium and get a cup of tea too.
I hope you are all having a nice day.

This is another one of those things that is misunderstood. Overuse is not a problem for antibiotics as is misuse. EG: if you take the antibiotic as directed for the full dose the bacteria can't build a defence against it because they are dead. If you leave some alive then they can. So taking only a bit is the problem, not taking too much. Even if you keep taking it after they are dead you can't do any harm other than killing good bacteria. Which you can replace. Besides what would be wrong with the good bacteria developing a resistance to antibiotics. Garlic is an anti bacteria and people eat tons of it.

Got started late today so now I am waiting for it to cool off again. I can't work when it is real hot. I can water green houses and flower beds though.
Yesterday was a good day but too long.
Possibility of frost tonight.

Hi Davit, Recently a relative suggested the use of something to complement antibiotic use, and he stated that it worked. As an engineer, he's not someone who should be easily duped, and he's using it for a nonagenarian. I wonder if you've hear of the "zapper"? He offered to build and send it from Europe, but I feel a bit overwhelmed, and can't find it, like a lot of products in mainstream medicine. I was impressed with the fact that it has an international quality recognition(ISO)... I mentioned this since you keep speaking about infections, and antibiotics, and overuse can be a problem.
