Brings you back to that saying the past is in the past and the future is unknown, all you have is the present so enjoy it, it will soon be the past and the future comes far too soon. Life is for living, not worrying about. Live for the day for who knows what tomorrow will bring.

Got out yesterday amongst the masses with a trip to the local zoo..
Got a bit tired after but woke up feeling refreshed this morning..

Oh I also took one of my new meds again last night with no problems at all. So far so good..I am giving it my best shot.Time will tell after I have been on it a while..lipitor can cause severe muscle pain and damage, liver issues, memory problems and type 2 diabetes in females..We will do labs again in 3 months to access the situation damage and or benefits that is...The FDA put new warning on the drug Lipitor because of these issues.

I already have type 2 diabetes and my type 2 diabetes in under control for now with diet, moderate exercise and the drug metformin..I am to call the doctor if I start having bad muscle pain..and she will change me to a different statin. The doctor feels I need to take a statin because I am diabetic which may worsen my cardio vascular disease..and taking a statin is what the new guidelines suggest..The want my Bad Choloestrol below 70 because I am diabetic.

Personally I am not sure if the benefits out way the risks with this type of treatment..Time will tell I guess..and yes most people would want to life longer but at what cost..There is lots to be said for quality of life verses quantity of life in my opinion..

I am not getting any younger and the clocking is ticking as they say.
I do want to enjoy the time I have left..

So we will see..

Thanks Ashley, Still hanging in there..I rewarded myself by relaxing with a new novel yesterday..

I have been having a lot of vivid dreams since I started the new med. and woke up feeling a bit strange physically and mentally after the chaotic dreaming and over stimulation during my sleep. I think it could be the book I am reading instead of the new med that caused this..Not sure really. Maybe a bit of both. I seem to be profoundly affected by meds and the things that I see in movies and read in novels too.

It's Strange!  I guess I just become one with it all...

Once I was up and awake for a while I was able to shake it off but it wasn't easy coming back to reality this time..

I think I'll spent the day sewing today instead..and not let myself get over stimulated by outside influences..
Hopefully I will get a restful nights sleep tonight..

Hi Red,

Glad to hear you are continuing to challenge yourself. Be sure to reward yourself for all your hard work. Each step you take is improving your mental and physical health - that deserves to be celebrated.

Hi Hugs...Thanks for the cheer and a look on the brighter side of things..The dollar store is always a fun outing haven't been there in a long long time..Maybe I'll go this weekend or next week..

We are having country fair in a city near me. It is a yearly event so I am thinking about going this year..Always lots to look at there..There are Farm animals raised by the kids in 4H with ribbons given out to the winners and displays of crafts and hobbies ie photography, painting, collages, quilts and more with ribbons too..Plus a woodworking display with men working on various projects and the archaeological and gem societies..Oh yes and lots of food and vendors too..and I almost forgot to mention the Beautiful Ferris Wheel.

Yes lots to see and do..so off with the dull drums and on with the fun..Life is meant to be enjoyed no point in letting the latest news ruin the fun..So it's off to the races I will go..By the way they have a horse race track there too but hold no races during the Country Fair.  Only Pig races are allowed during the fair..lol

Oink! Oink!

Hi Red, Maybe we could reframe the word "wrong" with something? I have all sorts of exercises, braces, assistance devices, etc. to deal with the blessing, sometimes seen as a curse, of facing longevity. I just came from the dollar store(where I always feel like a millionaire) with a giant clothespin, for an exercise to relax a muscle in my arthritic hand. I could parapharase a saying my grandmother passed on, which is: If you don't reach old age it's a shame; if you do it's a curse(translated). At least if I know my gene makeup, I can do long term planning, but I'm not good at that(it's not in my genes!).

Thanks Davit..

I was really feeling good about the progress I am making but it seems like no matter how well I think I am doing the doctors always find something else they think is wrong or feel that they need to tweet me or my meds a little..They  never seem to be satisfied with my improvements and always seem to want more from me. No matter what I do it's never seems to be enough for them. It seems to me what I am already doing is working just fine I am getting better so why mess with the mix..

I do find their way if looking at things a bit depressing..Perfection is not something I was striving for. I have accepted the fact that I am no longer 20 years old but will actually be turning 60 this August. Sometimes I forget how old I really am but I realize that at 60 years of age I will not be a perfect specimen and I am really ok with that.
I sure wish they could see that and be happy for me and about the hurdles I have overcome in the last few years..

Getting my A1c down to 5.8 and losing 23 pounds since November is something I am very proud of..no easy feat for a almost 60 year old post menopausal female. I am happy with me the way I am and actually feel pretty good for a 60 year old. Most of the time I think I am 35 or 40.

I just wish they would just let me be..and try to see the positives in all this.
I really have no desire to be their perfect specimen.

Well I guess that's enough of a rant for today.

Thank you Davit for listening and most of all for being my friend..
