Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Rabbi Levi saw a man running in the street, and asked him, "why do you run?" He replied, "I am running after my good fortune!" Rabbi Levi tells him, "Silly man, your good fortune has been trying to chase you, but you are running too fast." Going into the weekend, I want to slow down, so I rest, and take my blood pressure. It's amazing that ideas start to flood my mind, anyway of things I could do, as if I just don't wish to give myself that breather. Even outside, the frenzy of snow shovelling starts, not able to give me quiet.

Hugs

I wish I was more productive too but since I'm not I just do things as I do but I try to do them in some sort of order for efficiency to save steps. And time too. And multi tasking too. Some things take care of themselves. Others can be done together. Like being on here and having breakfast at the same time. I wash floors and watch movies at the same time. Still I only have so much energy and tire out long before I get everything done. At which time I go back to the computer with a cup of tea.
I use speaker phone all the time so I can do something at the same time. My friends are the same way. Which is good because we tend to talk for hours.

The quote "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a small step" means more today. I realized yesterday, as I slowly make small improvements in the home heating, that all of the things I do accumulate. I'm avoiding being self-critical, but I wish I was more productive, sometimes. I justify my past by thinking that I needed down time, or just wasn't ready for stuff.

You can have anything you want if you want it desperately enough. You must want it with an inner exuberance that erupts through the skin and joins the energy that created the world. - Sheila Graham

People don't change their behavior unless it makes a difference for them to do so. - Fran Tarkenton

The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you really believe 100 percent. - Arnold Schwarzenegger

Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing. - Denis Waitley
