Silver lining to your cloud?

10 years ago 0 4027 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I wonder if anyone found a situation which seemed negative, and then was able to be improved?

I was spitting nails until a few moments ago.  A construction crew was supposed to work in front of our house, and I've been asking forever when this would  happen.  One pylon at a time, appeared in front of the houses.

Suddenly today, I was awakened by a construction crew breaking up cement.  I thought I could finally get help paving a pathway!

When I approached the gentleman, he stated he'd talk to a foreman.  I mentioned too, that a car blocking their work was owned by a person in their business, and he mention "I" should tell him.  So I went in the cold rain, and mentioned it to the crew.

I was never called about the small amount of work, and it's important.  Mom has trouble with with cracked pathway, as we go out in the winter, and the icing is dangerous.  It's on our property, and I'm willing to pay for the work.

A second crew came by to secure the area, and left, leaving me like an abandoned teenage girl dreaming about a phonecall from prince charming.

The way this cloud has a silver lining, is that I can go to a big box store to figure out the cost, if prince f*!@#ing charming ever calls.  Earlier in the day, I felt unprepared, but I will be tomorrow!

I wonder if anyone else has a situation which they've reframed to change their mood, since I'm definitely feeling better, and little more than a little tweak of frayed wires in this shrunken head of mine.
