If you had me, or a councillor every day feeding you positive thoughts all day you would have these fear thoughts so well buried that you would not be able to find them, but you only have you so you must do it yourself. Make some mantras. One should be reasons why you don't have to fear such as the fact you know the material and can do the job. Make others to block all the reasons you feel you have a reason to fear. Make mantras for why you want this higher job. Not need, but want. Need is negative and feeds the fear. Repeat these mantras often and definitely every time you think about the fear. Repeat them till the fear goes away. When the fear gets less add the mantra "I was right" or "I won".
Become your own source of inspiration, be impressed with your capability.
How about your self for inspiration? How about your achievements? It is hard to be impressed with others if you are not impressed with yourself. This I think is part of your fear. Am I wrong, I could be but I don't think so.
In my college days Sachin Tendulkar,Indian cricket sportsman inspires me a lot.Army pupils & their disciplenes were another source of inspiration.I attempted a detailed interview for army officer in my college days.
But my present source of inspiration is ?? I am not able to identify.
Hopefully I will find and take another step for my betterment.
