Anybody with a quit day tomorrow 5/18?

Hi Mylast, I quit a week ago today and I'm using the patch too! You can do this. If I can, YOU CAN! Believe it or not, I have even stopped looking for my lighter. Stay positive! It'll make it easier! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/11/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 7 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 140 Amount Saved: $24.50 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 11 Mins: 55 Seconds: 25

Hello

Hi tankgirl! I made the decision to quite about 6 weeks ago and planned for a Cold Turkey QUIT two weeks later and went 5 days then set a new date of 5-11-07. I have been smoke-free ever since. Yes, it is hard but it won't kill you. The smoke will but this won't. You can do it and with help if you need it. I know I need it. I'm using the patches, 21 mg for a plan of six weeks and then stepping down. The most important thing to do is stay positive. It really helps when you feel down and out. Your body is healing and you have to relearn how to live. Make changes all for the best. Take this time to prepare yourself and you will realize that you do not have to be a slave to this drug. We can do it! I have been to the end of the earth and back and if I can do that, I can do anything! STAY POSITIVE! Went to a BBQ today

Hi Sue. I went to a major hospital in our area in a van with a smoker and that smoke smelled so good and I never once thought about taking a hit. It just smelled soooooo good. I feel like a wiener saying that. Good for you guys for staying smoke-free. Git R' Done

Hey all. Haven't posted in awhile but I've been reading when I can. I'm still smoke-free. YaY! Still on the patches and tomorrow night will be 2 weeks since my last drag. My friend even gave me a box of patches she didn't use, minus one. My plan is to do the 1st step for 6 weeks because the last time I did them, I lapsed after going down to step 2 after 4 weeks. I really want this to be the last QUIT and so far so good. I have noticed in the last few days I am so tight chested, almost winded for no apparent reason... Is this normal for someone who quit smoking and if so, how long does it last?! I haven't really coughed a lung up yet but am so tight in the chest like my air is gone. Just wondering if others felt this way. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/11/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 12 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 240 Amount Saved: $42.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 20 Mins: 52 Seconds: 58
