7 mg???

Hello Hurstk If I understand what you are saying, you feel ditzy because you dropped down from the 14 mg to 7 mg patch. Remember that the patch helps you through the withdrawals. I suspect that your bod has to adjust to the 50% reduction in nicotine so that may be making you feel ditzy. My experience with the patch at 28 and 14 mg was that it made me real nauseous and anxious. I think that they were just too strong for me. I switch to the 7mg patch and kept them on for several hours a day. That did the trick. I think the patch is great and I dont think I could have quit with out the helper. Keep it up. Day 71, remarkable. You must be feeling really good about your achievements. smoking sucks

Hi Zackery Yes I contiuned to drink while quiting and if you think that is odd, I actually drank more. I found that the alcohol help kill the pain. However I put the patch on. Have you tried that? You are doing so well!

I see so many of you being really quite successful with your quit. Anything over two weeks you get a gold star. I also see there are quite a few new people that have just begun their journey. Keep up the good work. With time it just gets easier, and easier and easier... Soon enought it will be crossing your mind less and less and less. And you will be feeling better and better and better about yourself each passing minute, hour, day, week and month. It is just a matter of time, and that is one of the many benefits of not smoking, it is a matter of time. Think success and you shall be successful! Tired

Hello Riverdale Man In my fifth month of quit for about two weeks, the demon kept coming at me. Each time he comes your way tell him to GO AWAY and STAY AWAY. You know you are just going through a lull period and you know you DON'T want to and are NOT going to smoke. Don't even think about it not for 1 day, 1 hour, 1 minute, 1 second. You have quit and that is it. So stay quit. I suggest taking a luke warm shower than turn it to cold. That should shock you. Go to sleep early, you will be much better tomorrow. We expect you here to help cheer the rest of us up, and keep us from lighting up ourselves. Stick to it. Applause and Thank you to Three Wonderful Motivators

Riverdale Man The same thought crossed my mine about you, your awesome quit score, when I replied to your last note subject Congratulations. You, Marie, PrincessC and others inspire all here on this web site. You are guiding lights, beacons of strength and character. Watching you three grow in strength, character, being.. helping so many others along the way, very commendable. One hundred and seventy plus quit days, equates to twenty-four weeks and change. Does one hundred and seventy plus quit days show strength of character? Does one hundred seventy plus days show a leader? Yes, yes, yes, yes Fifty five days and twenty-seven are phenomenal achievements as well for Marie and PrincessC. My point Riverdale Man is that you have arrived and it shows! Keep up the great work, attitude and leadership. Lets remember that non-smokers, (us, that is what we are, right) from time-to-time, have to remind ourselves how we got to where we are today. Use of distraction, self talk, positive attitude, substitutions to name a few, are examples of how. Does it get easier?

KayH Of course it does get better, easier and easier as you go. You have 33 days, six weeks, that is a long time. It doesn't have to take 3, 4, 5 months or two years of uneasyiness. I have read in "Quiting for Good" you should be in fairly good control after 3 months. Six months you are there and you maintain your guard. I am there as many others like Marie, PrinceeC, and Mama. That is all you need to do is to stay with the program. Stay positve, don't consider the longer term. You wil be done with the significant urgers by three months. It is really what you make of it, set yourself mentally free eary as Princess, Marie, and Mama have done. Adopt the spirit and control your mind. Sit back, relax, close your eyes, and control your thoughts. Try it! Love you! Loving the quit!!
