Just Intoducing myself

Hi My name is Ann live in Australia and is trying to give up smoking again! :0 Yes you heard right! I have given up or tried so many times so i have totally lost my self confidence. I have failed so many times that i now think im a failure. About 7-8 times since 1985! I am now 40 at the end of this year and have smoked since 14. Hmm that is?? 26 YEARS!!! If i fail this time i lose it!! I have done it with chewing gum, patches, nicotine inhaler, tried cold turkey and now today i been on Zyban for 2 weeks and today i stopped. I do crave despite being on zyban for these 2 weeks and have been somewhat anxious today. I guess its in my head. I have to do it this time! I did not realise the dates where twisted around!! The American way!! :) ;) I thought you gave up 6th of January first and realised you gave up on the 1st of June?? is that correct... Yes we must go through the same at the time being.. But best of all--EVERYONE in here knows what it is, how it really feels to actually give up!! ann DS. i just been on this site for a day so i havent found myself around really yet!! Cravings

Hi Patty Im new to this site as well --found it in desperation the day before my quit day! I quitted 6th June at noon--sat outside with a coffee and a last "puff".. I am as you extremely TENSE--and anxious etc I have been smoking 26 years and tried before and failed. However-i have gained support in here and realised the past failure was not a failure but an experience. I am as you a bit worry about taking it up again, however this site is great :) log in often and talk away.. We are all in here to support each other. Let me know how you are going!
