Scared to stop

46 years old and was a 3 pack a day smoker, my husband quit with me, but our quits are much different. He doesn't want to talk about his quit at all---I wanna talk about it a lot. He has been easy going...I've been a big pain in the butt! In any case, my quit family is here...you got a great support group here! :) Post whenever and about whatever!

Tick Tock...........

Had Enough: You seem to be doing wonderful considering you are giving up two addictions at once. I really admire your courage! I completely understand the "friend" thing---after 34 years of smoking and working my way up to 3 packs a day, I truly considered my cigarettes as my very BEST friend. (I mean, after all, they stood by my side for 34 years; I haven't been able to get a man to stick around for that long! ;p) I turned to them in sickness and in health and for richer and poorer. $hit, I'm getting my vows confused....anyway, SOMEBODY (I don't remember who) printed something about a best friend and smoking that struck home with me awhile back.....anybody remember who or where? How about a repeat for had enough? I believe she has ...had enough! It was something like..a friend wouldn't....?

My pledge not to increase in size/weight

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where do you people live that you can walk 12 miles to the cinema? Today, in Tennessee, we were under a heat advisory. If you walked 12 feet in this heat you were dripping in sweat! I usually walk a mile at lunch and dinner, but today said "forget that!". I may swim a few laps in our pool and after the sun goes down I may take one of the horses for a run, but I"M not running or walking ANYWHERE! I do admire your dedication. I suppose if I really wanted I could be more active and lose some unwanted lbs. Nope....and NOPE :8|:

My baby smells like chocolate cookies!

AAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW...I read this early this afternoon at work, but didn't have time to respond. That is soooooooooooo sweet. I have five children, ten the youngest, 25 the oldest. I wished to God that I had quit earlier than now. Cherish those moments...I wish to hell I could have smelled chocolate chips on my babies, but they smelled like cigarette smoke instead! If nothing else...YOU BETTER KEEP WITH THIS QUIT! That baby deserves it...and so do you! ;) Hugs and kisses, Karen

Where did our chewers and dippers go?

Ollie, Ollie, in-come-free (isn't that from hide-and-seek?) Come out, come out wherever you are! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ If that won't bring you out, how about this: "Who wants a plug?" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH :eg:
