Having a OFF DAY

Funny how we all seem to have "those" moments. Me too! I will be going along fine, and then out of nowhere I want nothing more than a smoke. Last week I watched someone smoking and I thought "How disgusting!" Then on another day I will (lustfully, I might add) watch someone smoking and be tempted to whip their a$$ and take it from them. How silly! :) The survey is complete---You're normal! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 67 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,383 Amount Saved: $536 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 23 Mins: 4 Seconds: 23

Hello to all

Glad to have you with us!!! Your meter looks good already. I have had some odd aches and pains as well since my quit. I have been ignoring them, and then they go---so I attribute a lot to the quit. Did you quit cold turkey or are you/have you used an NRT? Survived the Weekend!!!

Glad to hear that your weekend went well---if anything can push a person over the edge, it's family! You seem like a very strong person and bless your family for their support of your quit...and you apparently even inspired a few :) Good for you!

This is pathetic!

You guys are great and really cheer me up! I am going to eat healthy but I'm not going to become fanatical about it yet. And, as Nascarfan suggested, I'm going to keep my chin up! BOTH of them! :)

I am so releived

Good for you, Marie! I plan to go to the 7 mg on Tuesday, and am a bit apprehensive. Hubby has been on it and is getting ready to go without. He says he notices no difference either. Golly, I am so proud of you for doing so well! :)

DAY 10

TEN DAYS!!! WAY TO GO! I hear the anxiety and worry..........Did any of you ever think, when you were sneaking that first forbidden cigarette, that this many years later that little cigarette would cause you so much pain and discomfort? Me neither! I wish someone would have kicked my @$$ when I was younger to keep me from smoking. WAIT A MINUTE...my daddy DID kick my @$$, and I continued smoking anyway  Your doing just fine, had enough. I am assuming, from your post, that you are giving up both drinking and smoking at the same time...that has to be tough. I will say a little prayer especially for you tonight :) "He" and I aren't always on the best of terms, but, hell, it can't hurt! :)

Having a OFF DAY

Hey Jeani: Glad to hear today was a bit better. I think about smoking less and less, but still have intense craves a few times a day. Sometimes just out of habit. Like looking for my smokes before I leave the house in the morning. Now we have to get in the habit of being non-smokers. Just to keep the place jumping, I have even ocassionaly asked my husband or one of the kids, "Hand me my cigarettes over there.", just to watch them momentarily look before remembering that I quit---they do it out of habit also. Then we all just laugh like lunatics. :)
