Cig and NRT free - how many seconds a day do you still want a cigarette?

Based on a great thread idea I saw somewhere else. People who are totally nicotine free (have finished any NRT as well), post the following info: 1. How long have you been completely nicotine free? 2. How many seconds per day do you spend craving a cigarette? 3. How many times do you think about a cigarette? etc. 4. Any other statistical information that would be inspiring to other quitters either cold turkeys or NRTs who want to be Nicotine free. This is especially set up for the benefit of newbies and those still using NRT to act as a testimony to those who are completely Nicotine free!! Is there a thread like that here?

There is a great thread over at another forum where people at various stages of their cold turkey quit, give an honest summary of: 1. How many seconds per day they spend craving a cigarette. 2. How many times they think about a cigarette etc. 3. Any other statistical information that would be inspiring to other quitters, all condensed into one thread. This is especially set up for the benefit of newbies and it would be great if there was one here. (Maybe there is, but I haven't found one yet.) A lot of people can't join in over there as you have to be off not only cigs but also NRT too. It would be brilliant if someone who has been quit for longer than me could start a thread like that - it's so inspiring... Well, just an idea My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/4/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 10 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 128 Amount Saved: 12 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 3 Mins: 7 Seconds: 14

Luke warm turkey

Something just occured to to me: I've been having really strong cravings the last 3 days (although absolutely solid on my desire to stay quit). This is my second quit in 2 years and using NRT again. This time however I am using much less (I think because last time I quit I got down to 2-3 NRTs a day (either gum or inhalers), so this time when I quit, I just naturally only used the 2-3 again (it doesn't occur to me to use any more than that, so I don't). So I have come to the conclusion that: 1.That's why the cravings are worse this time 2.I must be a luke warm turkey! Strongest urges on which day

Wow, wow, wow!! There has got to be a link with eating chocolate and increased cravings!! This has been my worst day so far (day 15), and last night and this morning for the first time in my quit I ate a bunch of chocolate!! Before this I ate virtually no chocolate or sweets and my cravings were manageable, but today - awful (but I didn't give in and remain smoke-free).... Eye Effect

That's interesting because I've noticed in the last couple of days that my eyes have been quite bad - especially reading (I wear contact lenses and my prescription is less than 6 months old, and the dodgy eyes have only happened in the last few days - I quit 2 weeks ago tomorrow)...I'll keep an eye on it....(another unintentional pun) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/4/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 13 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 165 Amount Saved: 15.6 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 10 Mins: 57 Seconds: 19

Cig and NRT free - how many seconds a day do you still want a cigarette?

Well I would but I'm still on NRT so it wouldn't represent being 100% nicotine free. I don't want to stay on it (NRT) long and I think by reading posts like yours (from people at various stages of their quit so long as they are completely 100% Nicotine free)will greatly encourage not only cold turkey quitters, but also those who are using NRT. Great post btw Butterfly!!
