Hey Gazza
Just saw your post. Understand this. You are going through withdrawal. It hurts. For a while nothing will fill the void you are feeling so you just have to go with it. I can promise you that it won't last forever if that is any solace. You are doing a great thing for yourself. You could light up but you will regret it in the long run. You decided to quit because you were sick of smoking. Don't let cigarettes control you. Yes this is hard but it is doable. You are not going to die from this. You may feel like it, but you'll be ok. Just hang in there and keep posting.

Hi Messa
Listen to what Rusty just told you. She has it right. No you don't have to be a social outcast for the rest of your life. Just try pacing how much time you have to be around it. I'm very lucky that here,Michigan, everyone I know who still smokes goes outside to do it, just as I use to. So glad I'm not our there freezing.

So glad to hear you are doing better. My heart went out to you when I read your post. You had been given a lot of great advice so I abstained from putting my two cents in. I am sure you can do this. Why? Because instead of buying that pack, you came in here and called out for help. Thats how you keep the quit. Stay close and holler anytime you feel like it.

Beautiful and so true post. Rusty, I agree with you totally about forgetting where we all came from. From time to time I'll see ex-smokers who seem to have become almost "godlike" in their attitudes toward those who do still smoke. I hope I never forget from where I came and the hard road traveled to get here. I hold nothing but sadness for those who still smoke and hope that they may someday decide to take back their lives. The choice is theirs. Attitude is everything in this life. We are what we think we are.
