Congratulations on your 16 days. Way to go!!! I'm hoping to get there too...just got 6 days in now. But it's getting easier as time goes by. I'm glad you're over the hump. Keep up the good work.

Thanks all of you for the encouragement. It helps me tremendously. I don't know what I'm going to do for a reward, but I do know that I will attending a meeting tomorrow night which I'm looking forward to. It will help to keep my mind off smoking.
I don't know if I can sleep tonight...I'm wired for sound. I don't know what came over me but I'm wound up like a spinning top. I hope it will pass. Is that unusual to go through something like that?
I bid you all a good night and a smoke free day tomorrow.

Thanks Moss
I know that thinking of smoking all of the time will pass. Yeah, I can relate to being asleep and then waking up in a flash ready to tackle whatever it is to tackle except it's 2:00 in the morning.

It's OK Moss...sometimes we build up things that aren't as bad as we thought they would be. This is your 2nd week and congratulations! You definitely should reward yourself.

I know what you're going through Deb. I have the same problem and it's only 1 week for me. I have a friend or so I thought who takes or leaves my smoking as a mere thing. She's far from encouraging and I wonder why I talk to her. She's very self-centered. She use to smoke or so she said and quit and has quit for a number of years, so you would think she would be more encouraging than that.
At least, I do have friends who cheer me on and it's been great. I don't have to rely on her for support. I suppose though that the cheering will wear off eventually and I have to expect it like I should expect not to think of smoking after a while.
Keep up the good work.

Hi everybody
I am going through the worse craving of all this time and I'm on my 7th day. I hope it eases up soon. I phoned my friend Betty who quit for 20 years and smoke 3 packs a day. She's a Godsend. And so is this group.
It was real good today, sailing along just fine and then bang! It hit me like a ton of bricks. This is quite the addiction. I hope to pull through the other side ok. It's really hard right now.

I'm doing fine now but this afternoon was hell too. Just besides myself I was. It came close for me to go out and buy a pack, but the main thing is I didn't. I didn't cave in which is a wonder. Betty my friend told me that it does get easier after the first week. I sure hope she's right.
I'm doing good now and can breathe again. I don't have that nagging pain in my stomach that says have one.
Talk to you all later.

Well, I've completed a week without smoking. I feel pretty good about that. I do have some cravings this morning but nothing I can't handle. This is a critical time for me because I never made it more than a week before. I'm hoping I can pass this week without a hitch.

Hi everybody
I'm just barely hanging in there. It's taking everything out of me not to start smoking again. I don't know why it's hard now...I thought it would get easier. I guess that doesn't apply to everybody.
I went to the coffee shop and try to get my mind off smoking. It helped a bit but not much. I'm still craving terribly. I don't know how long it's going to last. I hope it ends pretty soon.
