Meds, Meds, Meds

That's what I'm hoping for...2 weeks of nothingness.  To me...a vacation is not spending every day sightseeing or going places. My ideal vacation is to have no where to be....nothing I have to do...several good books...and just a calm, relaxing atmosphere.

Medication Issues Propranolol

I don't take Propranolol...so can't comment on if the symptoms you are feeling are side effects or not.

Do you have asthma?  Propranolol is a non-selective beta blocker (I wont get into what that is here) and it can cause bronchospasms and increase airway resistance.  That could cause chest tightness....

I can't say one way or the other whether you should skip your dose or take it.  Do what you think is best for you.

Good luck.

Glad things went well for you.  What book did the counselor recommend?

Panic attacks when I go to bed.

Maybe try some meditation or gentle yoga before bed...or even a nice warm bath?  Something to help relax you so that you're actually ready to go to bed and to sleep.

I also listen to guided meditations when I'm trying to fall asleep (and I usually fall asleep while listening to them).

You could also try some of the home remedies....warm milk or chamomile tea.

Avoidance

Next time...tell yourself you WILL go to the meeting....no matter what happens the day/night before or how you're feeling that day.  It wont be easy but you can do it.

Let us know how it goes.  Good luck.

Job Interview tomorrow

I don't have any advice for the driving part...but for the interview portion, can you take an MP3 player or your phone with some calming/relaxing music to listen to, either during the 30 minute paperwork session or before the interview starts?

Hospital weekend

1)  Welcome to my world.....

2)  As I work in the Cardiology lab at a hospital, I just want to check/inquire what tests they did for you.  If you don't want to share this info with me, you don't have to.  Hopefully they did some blood work (at least twice) to check for a rise in cardiac enzymes, an ECG and a chest X-Ray (to check for aortic dissection).

Hopefully the chest pain settles down and you hear from the cardiologist soon.  If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.

Hospital weekend

Sounds like the ER did everything right.  Hopefully you hear from the cardiologist's office soon.
