If you are on blood pressure pills then your doctor has taken the proper steps to determine that you indeed have high blood pressure. Panic attacks can increase your blood pressure as well as any other activity when we are at rest. If you are worried that your PA's are a cause of your high blood pressure then talk to your doctor about this concern.
Thanks for talking the time to let us help answer such an important question.
Please keep us posted,
Melanie
Fear and excitement is bang on! Once we leave our nest, it is a feeling of independence with a whole lot of other unexplainable questions and concerns. From experience, going away to school was fun. However, the fear being alone, having enough money and grades where my fears. I had friends and family who where supportive. If I had a personal concern (in this case Panic) there were support specialists/councilors available for me. I did indeed use them because there are times in our lives when we need to have this type of outside support.
I hope that I was able to point you in the right direction. We are all different and I am sure that you will be able to enjoy the next stage in your life. Remember that we are always here for support and hopefully be able to answer your questions and concerns to the best of our ability.
Take care and be sure to keep us posted.

Lemondrop,
Have you tried relaxation techniques? What about breathing techniques? For tonight, prepare by reducing your anxiety level as much as you can. A hot bath, some soothing music, a warm beverage can help. Tomorrow do sign up for the Panic Diary where you can record your daily level of anxiety. You can also find how helpful it is to use breathing techniques to help you deal with your panic and anxiety. The Panic Program can help you understand more and may help you go about challenging your thoughts.
Hope this helps!
Melanie
Welcome Blue and PW,
You have come to the right place! Please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests. These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physician's advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor.
We also have developed a Panic Program. This program is 12-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above. Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead.
If you have any question or concerns with our €œTOOLS€, you can contact Susanne or me at support@paniccenter.net. We are the Support Specialist for The Panic Center and are open to any questions or concerns you may have.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
Melanie
Jen,
It might help if you take the free anxiety test and print out the results to take to your doctor's visit. That's the reason the test was designed. While it does not diagnose, it can give some clues to your doctor to help in his diagnosis.
All the best,
Melanie
Hi Jo,
Once you are done your sessions you can only read your results. If you want to go back and read the content you will have to download the Panic Program Booklet to the left under "TOOLS".
This is what you are asking right?
Cheers,
Melanie
