We finally got our tree up!
Same type of tree (Noble Fir), same tree lot, but the smell seems so much more amazing this year!

Hello new and future quitters!
You have come to the right place!
I wish I new about the SSC when I was preparing to quit. I found my way here a few days after I quit. I was searching the web for support, and boy did I find it!
After 25 years of smoking a pack a day, I never thought I would be able to handle quitting, but I did it and you can too!
The moderators and the members here are so awesome! They (WE!) truly want to see you succeed and will be here for you every step of the way!
Read all that you can here to educate and prepare yourself, drop us a post and tell us when your quit day is!
Go for it! You have nothing to lose and EVERYTHING to gain!

Way to hang tough Doodles!
My husband smokes outside too. When I first quit, he was careful not to let me see him smoking and he never left his cigarettes laying around. Lately though he has been leaving his stuff all around. I have been quite comfortable in my quit until the last day or two, so I let him know that I've been having a bit of a tougher time and I would rather not have to look at his cigs!
Just think how much stronger we are going to be in our quits after getting through the holidays!

I know what you mean Tresa. I am so embarrassed to think of how I used to smell! I always had Altoid mints with me and washed my hands constantly, but I know now that wasn't enough.
I kind of like the smell of a freshly lit cig (SCARY!), but the smell of stale smoke is so gross! I notice it on people all the time nowadays.
