not to beat a dead horse...but....

I've been sitting reading about people who had some slip ups...which..i personally think might happen...and it's great when it doesn't but...not something that you can move forward from if it does.... I was thinking and talking to lolo...who...i have to say...is wonderful because she hangs out on the cute chat messenger thingy with me... sometimes...when you're on the edge of smoking..you really need a real person to talk to ...for me...having someone responding to me immediately...like she does on messenger...has been very helpful in making it through those tough times... the post are great!!! and they help a lot... but please everyone..don't forget the cute chat messenger is there. I really wish there was a chat room here...but..even if there's not...this messenger is something that people can utilize... i would say always give that a try before you make that move toward lighting up... APRIL quitters !

Yee haaa!! One more day of kicking ashhhhh...Philip morris...I scoff at you!!! My brother has graciously set up a butt kit outside on the front porch...I live with my brother...and...well...we do quite well together. He asked me if I wanted him to smoke outside. I said he didn't have to..mostly because I don't want him to get angry with me...I said that..and and he said...he didn't get angry..he got even..I said i didn't want anything to do with his evenness...anyway...I told him it would help me...but..that...it was up to him. But that I noticed that he very rarely smoked in the house when my son was here anyway...my son...hates smoking...with a passion!! And I want to keep it that way!! So my bro set up his can outside...i told him...i'd favorite this site for him...just in case he got a desire to quit at some point...we'll see what happens...for me...one more day feels good. Thank you to all of you...you're a very positive group of people..just wish there was a chat room...where we could all sort of talk about things in the moment...but for now..this is good... cute chat

Was just wondering if someone had an idea...of where there was a group chat situation..i believe you can email someone privately here right???? if someone had an idea they could have emailed me privately. I came in several times this weekend...and had that messenger up....only once did anyone talk to me...and that was because she had seen my post...the other time... I'm off for my second week in my truck smokeless..and i suppose i should be looking forward to it..i try...but sometimes...that just doesn't happen... The More Your Learn

I read what Mercy wrote...and thought it was pretty cool...so I ran it by a friend of mine...who has a Masters degree in Behavioral psychology...this was her response: (by the way..she doesn't smoke) Actually, the behavioral science isn't entirely accurately explained and ignores several other factors. For example, for many people, smoking is INITIALLY extremely unpleasant. They cough, gag, etc. There are social factors, NOT physical ones, that encourage them to continue smoking until the smoking, per se, becomes itself something pleasant for them. Ironically, it actually takes some effort for somebody to initially cross the barrier to begin using cigarettes (or alcohol, or many other things). Blame things like advertising and social pressures for pushing somebody in that direction. Nicotine isn't the bad guy until later in the play.

April Ashkickers 2

laughing here... 29 days...under my belt...and only one...bigish craving this week...which was job related...and...i text messaged a friend, told her i wanted a cigarette...she said no...i couldn't have one..hmpf...and that was that..lol been listening to my hypnosis cd's everytime i take a break...and...i don't know if it's working or not..but it certainly gives me another option of something to do! Banana...yes..you have to add people to your list..which is one of the reasons..i'm not impressed with that messenger..what if you miss someone who would really like to talk? and you don't know it? at least with a chat room...if someone logs on..everyone knows it!!! glad to see everyone is doing well!!! hang in there!! I lost one addition and gained a new one

I don't think anyone..can ever be totally independent...i mean...we all need something to depend upon...it's just that hopefully...the things we depend upon, now..are better for us...than cigarettes were!!
