Thanks again for all the warm welcomes and encouragment. I keep changing my quit date because my nicocure has not come in yet.
I will keep everyone up to date on my situation. I can't wait to quit.
Best wishes,
Brad

Well, I've finally made up my mind to get rid of this filthy addiction once and for all. I don't think I have ever been so ready to quit. There are a number of reason but most importantly for my health.
I ordered a patch system which should be here in a few days. I anticipate 3/6/2007 to be my quit day - depending on when my patches come in.
I'm glad to have found this forum and hope it can be helpful, and later perhaps I can support other potential quiters.

Hey Jojo,
I haven't started to quit yet, but I sure hope when I do finally quit that I can some day reach that 50 day mark. That's quite some time. You should be proud of yourself and I'm envious!!
Best wishes,
Brad
Not much of a drinker.
I'll take a Heineken or two.

Day five is here!! Whoo hoo!!
Other than the dizziness, "space case" feeling, and gas, all is going well.

Hi Rachel,
Looks like we both quit on the same day. I'm sorry to hear you are having a hard time. I'm sending good thoughts and vibes your way (wherever you might be). For me, I have found that chewing sugarless gum is the key to my quit. I have never chewed so much gum in my entire life. What are you doing to substitute the smoking?
Rachel, are you using any stop smoking aids like the patch, meds, or other aid. I did alot of research online and went with the one with the best success rate. Really seems to be working.
I certainly hope it gets better for you. Hang in there. We are all pulling for you!!
Best wishes,
Brad
