Hi Hurstk;
Know what your going thru, as I'm back from a 3-day slip after a 15 day quit. Yes, the guilt is overwhelming but push through it. Glad to see you are back on track w/a quit plan. Life for all of us gets really, really hard at times. I think the best we all can do is just be human. We failed -- failure (and success) will always be a part of us throughout our lives. So lets get on to our current quits & SUCCESS this time! Please try not to add the guilt/shame over this to the pile of stuff going on right now. Maybe just concentrate on breaking life down in simple tasks & try not to look back. I certainly don't have all the answers but what I do know is that getting right back into the quit helps.

Glad you're back Kate. I've restarted my quit too. We know what to expect so you never can tell -- it just might be a little easier this time to get thru the physical withdrawel (was for me). Water helped me the most and also just getting up & walking a bit. Even if it was just a lap around the house. Let's make a pact to keep at it -- KEEP QUIT -- and get this disgusting addiction behind us once and for all!

Biggest motivation to quit again after I failed, was to stop being disgusted with myself for starting to smoke again!
Haven't you noticed that once you quit you can never enjoy smoking again? Never.
The guilt, the shame, the disgust will always creep in while you're smoking. Might not be during the first one but it will eventually . . . and it just KEEPS IT UP in the back of your mind.
QUIT AGAIN. There seem to be a few of us who quit again as of late. Join us.

How very kind of all of you.
Yes, I would very much like someone to mentor me in this battle to stay quit.

Hey Grace;
Please don't throw that quit away. Trust me when I say it isn't worth it - ! IT ISN'T WORTH IT !
Whatever you think that cigarette might solve or help or calm down - IT WON'T. Trust me on this one, I threw a 15 day quit away and have had to start it all over again.
It's not worth it, it's WORSE than what you're feeling now.
Hang in there, it'll pass, it'll pass . . . I guarantee it will pass!
